We got this to fill in a 1950s fireplace that had gotten concrete sealed. It really does look fantastic. I do need to mention the heat levels though. The low setting is able to heat up a living room pretty fast, but the high setting is no joke! The high setting can turn my whole little house into a sauna in about an hour. The crackling sound is decent, but it's maybe a tad too active for it to seem realistic imo. Meh, I don't have any real things to gripe about at all, it's been fantastic.

We have a wood burning fireplace in our condo and it's not the best to use. It's dirty, smokey, and you are pretty committed once you start it. I am so happy we found this fake fire place. It fits and works perfectly. It was nicely packaged and it shipped super fast. I like the different flame and sounds options. The heat option is really quiet (I don't think we will use it often). The fake fire effect gives me Pirates of the Caribbean vibes from Disneyland (the ride), which makes me love it more. It seems to be really well built and hopefully it lasts a long time. The remote is super easy to use as well.

First of all, it's an excellent product. Easy to install and performs as advertised. A great addition being in an area that frequently restricts fireplace burning.However, what's really great is their customer service. I ordered the wrong size (their measurement information could certainly be improved). I thought "Oh, geesh, I'll bet returning is going to be a real hassle." Well, it wasn't. They assisted me with how to do it and helped me arrange the shipments. First unit was returned and I received the second (correctly fitting) unit. We love it.Their customer service is excellent!

We had to replace a 10 year old electric fireplace and so we purchased this one. So, every nice. We love how it looks and love the 'crackle' sound - there are several sound options - some more realistic than others - but overall - we thought it would kind of joke. We end up using the crackle all the time. The electric flame and fire 'box' is actually impressive in appearance. I burn a little pinion wood incense and it looks and smells pretty convincing! But - don't buy this one for anything but "looks." The infra red heat is just, well.. NO heat. Unless you're standing directly in front of the fireplace. We have a fairly small room - less than 300 sq ft - it would never heat this room. Honestly, we bought it for looks and don't really care that it doesn't heat the room. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. Exceeded my expectations! Looks and sounds beautiful! Definitely made my living room look more updated and finished.

I LOVE this fireplace! We have had an open fireplace for 32 years but never burned wood in it because of the mess it creates. I've had a wrought iron candle holder in it all this time and it's been beautifully decorated for every season. However, I decided I wanted a "fire." After researching MANY electric fireplaces, I settled on this one. Up close the *fire* isn't going to fool anyone and the sound speakers are a little tinny. But it's quite believable when you walk into the room with all the other ambiance. We entertain a lot and some guests have been quite surprised when I tell them it's an electric insert. I have used it several hours every day for the two weeks I've had it and have so enjoyed it - especially at night. It does have a two speed heater, but I haven't used it much. I have a Vornado space heater that does a better job heating, if needed. (Annnnd....you can't run them both at the same time because it will trip the breaker - that's what I've heard, anyway....:-D) So, let's compare apples and truffles - it's not going to compete with a real fire or a high end electric insert. But, push one button and it's on and off, no prep or clean-up of a real fire, plus it was a fraction of the price of the high end inserts. So, yes, I would absolutely recommend it.
