It's cheaper and easier to replace an entire carburetor than to clean out the old one. Still working after a few years.

Cleaned the old one and put this one on the shelf for another time. the reason for the four stars is that it is China made and is not quite the quality of the B&S model. I do not have enough experience with the pro chaser brand to extrapolate about it's quality or longevity.

The product came with everything I needed to replace the carburetor, plus air filters and spark plug. It was a great package. I pulled it outside the garage and the first pull started right up.

It is clearly a cheap clone of the original Nikki OEM carb used by Briggs & Stratton. Overall quality is good and it does work properly! In my application (Wheel House 5500 generator) I needed to swap over both the choke and throttle shafts which was simple enough. There are no fuel adjustments on this carb. One pull and it fired right up. The included air filter fits and appears to be of good quality. Bottom line, this is a good alternative to rebuilding the original carb although I did order a kit from B&S and intend to have that carb ready as a backup if/when this one fails. Time will tell. The kit of assorted parts… let’s just say I won’t be using those. But they are good enough to put in the drawer of random power equipment parts, just in case.

My generator was showing signs of sluggish performance and stuttering when starting. When cleaning the carberator and air filter didn't do the job I decided to buy this kit. The kit was very comprehensive, included everything needed and then some to ensure a reliable start everytime. Every part in the kit seemed to be great quality and there were no flawed parts (which is very common umong carb rebuild kits). The main thing to take away is, when installing all the parts you are insuring proper fuel flow and air mixture which will most certainly improve performance and efficiency which I was able to observe from the first run after install.

Perfect fit for our 20 year old Briggs & Stratton powered Porter Cable generator. The original carburetor finally failed on the fourth day into Hurricane Milton's power outtage. Kit comes with different choke levers for varying models. Prefilter and filter element look decent. Tested and starts and runs as easily as the OEM. These would make great spares. Side note- my engine required required e10 E-torx sockets to remove / install carburetor. Hope this was helpful.
