I love the Toymany animal/sea creature line of figurines and this one does not disappoint. There are a few things that separate them from other brands out there. First off, I love the fact that they make figurines out of obscure animals/sea creatures and not just the same old ones that everyone else does. This is especially fun for your child if they enjoy the show Octonauts, which feature unique, obscure animals. The second characteristic would be paint job that Toymany toys feature. I think everything is hand painted, and they use a lot of detail and as many colors as needed to replicate the animal's actual colors. I hate the toy animal figurines where they only paint it with 1-2 colors, and it doesn't look anything like the real animal. Another feature I really like that is often overlooked and not in descriptions would be the safety of the materials. Several now list toxicity, but you will never read about how safe the figurines are when it comes to shape and rigidity. The Toymany figurines have a slight give to them, where the arms/legs/fins give and can be bent. I've yet to find one that has a sharp edge or point that would introduce itself to my bare foot at 3 am. I don't have the fear that if my child falls while holding it, it might impale them etc. My only complaint about their figurines would be that sometimes one of the figures will be disfigured from being stored in a bent position and/or having something heavy stored on top of it. For example, the tail or wing will be bent back because of this. I just returned it for a new one and we are all happy.

My 4 yr. old grandson is obsessed with Safari Ltd. sea creatures and these were every bit as good with types that Safari Ltd does not carry.

This is one of the few toys that I was able to find that included a pelican eel- my son’s current obsession (thanks Pinkfong). The set is a bit pricey but he loves it!

My 5 year-old is obsessed with the ocean (especially deep sea creatures) and these were his favorite birthday gift.The selection is super unique which sets them apart from other sea creature toys. The quality is great and really detailed especially for plastic figures and the price couldn't be better!

This is an assortment of figures of fish, most of I've never seen anywhere else. I would have purchased it for the Goblin Shark and Gulping eel alone.Unfortunately these come in individual little clear plastic sacks and tightly crammed into a standardized cube box. The Swordfish especially came bent.Most of the species are unusual and lessor know species, and only the Dunkleosteus is extinct. However it is so ugly and fierce looking that it will immediately appeal to some, especially children who like fierce ancient "sea monsters". The Goblin shark is certainly prehistoric, and looks it, but is a living fossil. That figure looks tamer than the real thing, as the figure doesn't convey how the mouth full of sharp teeth can thrust open and forward. The wolf fish is also a friendly little fellow.

Nice size and color, durable, very pleased, would buy again.
