LG ABT72989206 Genuine OEM Pump Casing Assembly for LG Dishwashers

If your washer is making a high pitch noise, it's most likely the bearing in your pump. Once i had the washer out, this was a quick install. Solved the issue for me. The pumps are warrantied for 10 years but you have to pay for labor which is expensive. If you're handy, this is the cheapest route. My advice to you is expect to replace this and the Vario motor twice in the first 5 years if you buy an LG washer.

The media could not be loaded. So we typically turn on and go to bed. Well after Christmas we had family over and ran it. I had no idea how loud it had gotten till someone pointed it out. Ordered this despite the description saying it was the drain pump. Definitely not exact what I needed. Super easy to switch took about 10 minutes. Super happy it’s very quiet and has always washed better than any other dish washer I’ve ever had. Don’t call customer service they will tell you you have to call one of their 3rd party service people and pay the service charge before they can even decide if it’s covered by the 10 year warranty.

My dishwasher was haven big time noise issues. We delt w it for long time as time went on got louder and louder. Not sure what the sound was tell I found a video on what the noise issue. 2 wks later after finding the video it just stopped working and water left on the bottom of dishwasher.Since water did not drain I was thinking was drain pump. I took the chance could be this item that cause the pump not to work. Ordered it took 2 days to get here looked online on how to replace. Took all about 30/45min to replace.Did a test run and it was so quiet that I had to stop the dishwasher just to look to see if it was running so I loaded the dishwasher up. Did a quick wash and everything worked well and it was quiet like it was brand new.

Extremely quick & easy to install with basic household hand tools. Two recommendations for a "stress-free" replacement:1 - Turn the dishwasher completely upside down before starting.2 - Pay particular attention to getting the hose clamps properly reinstalled.

This worked for about 6 wash cycles after installation, and was pretty quiet. Unfortunately the dishwasher is back to being noisy. I have some serious doubts about the authenticity of this part being new, and the shipping/packing was incredibly poor. Maybe it was damaged in shipping? At any rate, I am dealing with the noisy washer as we shop for a new one. Installation of this part was easy…but I question the parts “newness” or if it’s authentic.

Installed this pump/heater a few months ago when the dishwasher was making lots of noise. You tube posters claim it is a bad bearing on yhe motor. They were right. Took 5 minutes to replace. Hardest part is removing the dishwasher from under the counter. Take pics to get the orientation correct.
