Light weight and comfortable for thumb arthritis. I’ve worn several different designs and this one is small and protects my thumb without being bulky and cumbersome. It doesn’t rub my hand or other fingers. It make washing hands easy. I wear this design when I’m doing administrative or light work. I can cook with it and it helps with driving to support the thumb

I'm a server at a fine dining restaurant, and I needed a thumb stabilizer for my De Quervain's Tenosynovitis. I can get this greasy and grimy and wash my hands a hundred times a night. It's so sturdy that my thumb cannot cross my palm, and I just use dish soap to wash it and let it air dry. I wear it every shift, and it's been doing its job for over 2 months. A great brace!

These were significantly priced lower here than in doctor’s office. Was between sizes. Medium good but large better if hands are swollen. However, hard plastic irritates edge of palm area of hand after awhile. Maybe hot water soak can soften. Purchased both sizes. Does keep thumb supported much better than other types, plus is minimal Velcro so does not gather lint and pull on clothing, but becomes extremely uncomfortable

Excellent for thumb not heavy or stiff.

This is a great concept in keeping the base of the thumb knuckle immobilized. Unfortunately, the hard plastic that sits in the webbing between the thumb and hand does not fit correctly. It cuts into the hand, and there is no way to form it to your hand as it’s a very hard, thick type plastic. If it weren’t for the plastic piece between the thumb and the hand, it would be a great product. Just too painful to wear. I had to return it.

I used this brace as for stabilization for a month preceding physical therapy. This brace immobilized the correct part of the thumb for me, down in the inside bottom of the thumb, while allowing me use of the rest of the thumb. Without this, my tendon might not have healed as quickly or easily and physical therapy might not have been successful. Its a little pricey but honestly it was exactly what I needed. The design is so minimalist around the palm and back of the hand, which I loved and was the main reason I bought it over other designs that were full cover braces. This one didn't suffocate my hand, and I could wash my hands and shower without removing it. The palm straps are somewhat moldable but I didn't really find much ability to adjust it other than to tighten or loosen the velcro. It was a good fit for my hand so I didn't need much adjustment. I could wear therapy tape underneath it without the brace making my hand sweat and lifting the tape and could see the edges of the tape to see when it was time to change it. The velcro was a little itchy for a day or so but my skin got accustomed to it and that itchiness went away and it never bothered me again.

CORRECTION. DON’T buy!!!! Brace straps broke in 2 weeks. Haven’t heard from the sellaer about a warranty replacement. Weak customer service! ————- Pros: - Price is reasonable for the effectiveness and sturdy, yet mold able to best fit the shape of your hand. - Perfect fit - It works. This brace actually supports your hand unlike others with a flexible palm or inability to mold to the shape of your hand. - Minimalist design for coverage only where it is needed. No wrist wraps or glove-like feel. Cons: - The brace material used could be a little softer in the skin. Maybe using TPU as the brace material or the on add a thin layer of material so that it’s not just a firm plastic feel on skin. - Strap comfort could be improved. Also maybe a material change. - The overmolded malleable strip material is not ideal for easy adjustability to match your hand shape. It works well enough but perhaps a different metal would perform better. - Adjustment of fit could be better. Maybe not Velcro. Maybe something magnetic or ratcheting? - Strong suggestion to take the brace of when driving. ** Either way, your would things that the would be the best value for the money. Until the straps break Two weeks later ** I’ve had better results with a $10 brace. Don’t waste your $.

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for! The fit is perfect. My only complaint is that the back of the strap isn’t as nice on my skin, it feels scratchy, but I will put felt or something on it to make it less irritable! This is better than the custom orthotic my OT custom made me. Much more comfortable.
