Well agreed they didn't say directional, but since the Chinese are better educated than most Americans, maybe they just assumed you would know a yagi is always a directional antenna. Nice to have the gain specs however, for a practicing radio engineer. BTW mine works great over 50 miles with 110 free channels.

Q: How do they get away with claiming a 200 mile range when that’s impossible given the curvature of the earth?

The transmitting antenna is up to 1000 feet high which increases the distance to where the curvature of the earth attenuates the signal - given that... 200 miles is an exaggeration. The range is most likely closer to 60-100 miles.
