Very pretty bottle, it took a little to get used to but now it's out go to bottle and we don't need to worry about exposure to plastic. Keep in mind stainless steel is not insulated and if your kid likes to throw things, it will get dented. That is no issue for the performance of the bottle, so no compaints there. Very easy to clean. We bought pink color, looks great in person. Packaged nicely and you can see right away that it's great quality. Will purchase more. All the plastic bottles that we own deteriorating fast with continuous washing and throwing...and have to be replaced pretty often in order to avoid any toxic leakage. This non toxic bottle gives me piece of mind and it will last us a long time. Don't skimp, just buy quality bottle that will last you at least trice as long as plastic.

I love the fact that there are no plastic pieces, as we try being as environmentally conscious as possible (main reason I was willing to spend $25 on a cup for a 2 1/2 yr old), I love the color and the softness of the sleeve/cover and that it doesn't sweat where the sleeve is. The reasons for only 3 stars: • I bought this for my 2 1/2 year old, she didn't like it at first (I had to hide all of her other cups just so she'd finally use it) because the straw is a little strange, it's wider at the very top since that is where the no-leak part of the straw is, so it requires almost all of the straw to go inside her mouth for her to get a comfortable amount of water out. • I do not like the silicone lid at all, it's too soft & flimsy and sits on the cup awkwardly so the straw always ends up bent when the lid is on. I would like it better if it were a little thicker/harder because the it feels as though it'll eventually tear or rip. • It doesn't actually leak, which is great! - but the straw always has a bit of water left in the tip of it after drinking, so if you hit the straw or it falls over the water splashes out. My husband, daughter and I have all already splashed ourselves in the faces numerous times because of this (quite annoying). If I can find a cheaper cup in the future with no plastic pieces I will probably give it a try before buying another one of these, as I feel for $25 you should love everything about it. 3 month Update: This cup is holding up well! My daughter has gotten used to it and doesn't seem bothered by the straw anymore. She has dropped it a few times on our tile floor and its got 1 dent on the bottom, but still stands with no problem. I tend to only wash her cup once or twice a week and it never gets a weird or nasty smell and has never had any slime or mold growing in it, like plastic cups generally do if not washed very regularly. As long as it doesn't get lost or left anywhere I see us having this cup for a long time :)

**Updated Review** Bottle Bros entailed me within a day of my receiving the bottle (but after I had published my initial review). I told them of my issue and they suggested boiling the spout as a means of pening the vents in the spout. I did and it partially worked. I tested it and the water is flowing through. It takes a little work but my daughter is able to drink from it. Good customer service. I'm increasing my rating to 4 out of 5 stars. This arrived and I wanted to like it. It looks great and our daughter was immediately attracted to it. It is utterly useless since you can suck as hard as you like but the liquid will not come out. I didn't notice it while my daughter had it. After she'd been toting it around...seemingly drinking for quite some time...I took it to see if she needed a water refill. To my chagrin, it was still full. She hadn't had so much as a sip although she'd been sucking at it for 50 minutes. I thought she loved it and was powering through her water. I took it and tried to drink from it. NOTHING! My wife tried to drink from it. NOTHING! After some trial and error, I was able to draw the water from it by biting the tip of the straw mechanism then sucking concurrently. Our 15 month old is going to figure that out!! I read the reviews but thought it couldn't be as bad as that...I WAS WRONG! Very disappointed and I'm sending this back.

I bought this because I was tired of leaking sippy cups, tantrums because the straw "didn't work" and lids that won't screw on easily after too many times in the dishwasher. My daughter is IN LOVE with this cup - for reasons known only to toddlers. I am in love with this cup for the following: - metal doesn't warp at all, so the top threads on easily (all of our plastic topped ones became too difficult to screw on after several trips in the dishwasher... leading to leaks) - it grows with my daughter, so we need fewer bottles/ cups. We previously had the munchkin 360, the munchkin straw cups, the tommee tippee sippy cups and the Dr. Browns weighted straws. Sooo many cups, just to find a top that grows with my daughter. She loves straws, but still hasn't realized she needs to keep the cup down. This cup can be both a sippy cup and a straw cup, so i know I won't have to buy yet ANOTHER bottle when she figures out how to use a standard straw. - durable. my daughter is amazing; perfect in my eyes. but she still is a toddler, and throws tantrums. Often, this means throwing objects. Like her cup. We have milk stains everywhere from other cups getting thrown and bursting. This thing has yet to leak from a throw! And thus far it really only has one dent. Kind of amazing. - So much easier to clean than all the weighted straw cups. Seriously - no special pipe cleaner to get the milk out of the straw. The price tag isn't cheap on these, but I will be replacing our other cups with the Pura model slowly. Right now, it is the ONLY cup my daughter will drink from. And honestly, I'm ok with that.

I bought two of these for my 4 yr old and my 18 month old. Haven’t had a single problem. The straw and mouthpiece combo works, they don’t leak AT ALL. I appreciate the thick. good quality silicone that was used. We have used ThinkBaby up until now, but I wasn’t loving our sippy cups from that company. They would leak. But these ones don’t leak, and there isn’t even a rubber seal on the top where you screw the top on. I am impressed. The only reason I am giving 4 stars rather than 5, is because I think Pura should provide a little silicone cup-like sleeve that just slightly covers and goes around the bottom edges. Because when dropped hard enough, big dents can happen, and that affects it actually standing upright. Ours have been dropped multiple times already though, on concrete, tile, and the car floor. No significant dents yet that affect anything. They still look pretty new and shiny. I love the cute color design of the sleeve.
