The bag in the photo makes it look like you will be able to pull a bag out at a time, this is not true. It comes in a big flat that is stapled on top. They are difficult to separate from the bunch, and I tore many trying just to get to one usable one. They are almost impossible to get open once separated from the bunch. This takes up a lot of space and is not convenient at all. I do not enjoy the smell but it is fine for most I am sure. The only positive is that they are an inexpensive alternative option to plastic. I am paying a lot more for a much better compostable brand that comes in rolls and that easily separate for picking up the poops. I just cannot justify giving more than 1 star when the other brand that I have found easily deserves 5 stars in comparison.

I'll begin with the best feature about this type of bags compared to many others: It's plastic-free!!!! They are entirely plant-based. I called Biodogradable to confirm that they are plastic-free!There are a lot of other compostable bags, but many of them contain plastics! As the average dog owner goes through around three bags a day, 365 days of the year, dog-waste bags could do a tremendous amount of environmental damage. - That's why we need to start intentionally seeking plastic-free bags!! It makes a lot of sense.For plastic-free, compostable (and therefore biodegradable) bags, the price on these is far better than many others! They are durable for plastic-free bags, and convenient. They aren't in a roll, so don't fit into a dispenser, but that wasn't a problem. I had no problem with these bags. The roll options are available from BioDOGradable, if you think it's needed.I liked them so much that I was really disappointed when they were not available on Amazon when I needed to buy more. I was told by BioDOGradable that they are sending another shipment through Amazon, so I may have to buy more when they restock. I tried looking everywhere when I could not find them at Amazon.ca, but the only places that could ship them were pricey, unlike Amazon. I ended up buying a different compostable bag through a store (PetSmart) because I was in a pinch (on my last two bags), but I feel bad about that because I know the problem with plastics, and that chain does not carry any plastic-free bags.I have only good things to say about this bag! I will be putting in multiple orders next time, to not be stuck without them. I only want to use totally plastic-free, compostable bags!

Great price - I like the flat pack as an alternative to rolled bags.Started out great - then every few bags they were stuck together by the ink from the compostable imprint.Not too bad if I was VERY careful. By halfway through the pack - every bag was stuck together - and far more, so that the bags ripped. Unfortunately the tear was in the middle of the bags rendering them pretty much useless.Ended up throwing the rest of them out.

These are just great! Every responsible dog owner should be using compostable dog poo bags. These ones are reasonably priced and at least you know you are helping to reduce the very serious plastic problem this beautiful planet is now faced with. Order a few packs at once and you will always have them on hand. Be part of a solution, not part of the cause even if the product costs a buck more a package. Mother nature doesn't need us, but we need her.

Edit: I've been using this for the past 2.5 years (I ordered a bulkier package from Walmart) and I've had no problems with this product. No rips/tears when pulling them off. I hang them on a hook on a wall near my door and its a perfect way to grab a couple for a walk. (11/2021). here to buy it again.No smell, only one of them ripped because of the way i pulled it (I’ve gone through half of it already). They don’t come in a roll so it’s kinda bulky. They have an interesting texture that reminds me of paper and it opens very easily. I will definitely buy this again.
