I got the 2lb state fair mix and first I have to say that the Taffy itself and very well made! It tastes delicious, wasn't all stuck and melting to the wrapper at all and still nice and soft enough to chew. The bag also was big and filled to the top! My only issue is my own fault. I'm not sure what I was expecting with the state fair one aside form cotton candy for sure, but I was so upset about the buttered popcorn bc I actually don't like that one. I'm a taffy addict lol and banana is a top favorite of mine so was hoping that's what the yellow ones were. Honestly, I should've looked at the flavors before I purchased. I was just in a hurry to get some fast because I had the craziest craving and couldn't find any local. lol 😂 (addict I'm telling u) The cotton candy and bubblegum I love...those taste really good. The red licorice I couldn't figure out for the life of me until I came back on here and checked. It's a very strange flavor. It's not bad at all, but also not my favorite. It tastes like something scented ive owned before idk how to explain it or even place it really. Like I kinda feel like I'm eating one of those scented waxes or like it's taffy with essential oil in it or something that's the only way I can describe it. I can see how some ppl would really like it though it's just not my favorite but, I still eat them. My taste buds have been weird lately tho also. They've changed idk why. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I just have to skip all the popcorn ones. Hopefully I can find someone who loves them so they dont go to waste. Im sure I will. I definitely do recommend! Next time I'm going to order the 2lb assorted variety and a smaller banana order. I'm definitely going to be a big customer here to fulfill my taffy addiction! So glad I found them on here. 🍬 🥰 🍬

It was perfect. Not too hard...has a great chew! The flavors are good. Blue is cotton candy, pink is bubble gum, red is red vine, and yellow is buttered popcorn ( my favorite). I saw lots of negative comments but I haven't experienced ANY of them except I can't quit eating them!

Had good flavor but not as soft as I like.

I love salt water taffy and this particular brand is so good. It has so many flavors.

Update to earlier review. Bought a bag in Nov 2021 to have on hand for Christmas. The bag is full of mystery flavors. One purple one was licorice flavored. The other purple one was grape, I think. Most of them pretty much tasted all the same. I did find an apple that was actually green. There was absolutely NO correlation of color to flavor that could be relied on. Hardly any cinnamon or peppermint, not that you could tell because the colors were all wrong. Obviously it's a completely different product than what was ordered previously. Otherwise, the taffy was ok. Pieces were small and soft, but good grief... this is taffy CF in a bag. Have ordered this product a couple of times now. The first time, all was good apart from the fact that there are a LOT of licorice flavor in the bags. Now, I'm not sure what that is all about. I bought these for the office candy bowl and no one... I mean, NO ONE at my place of work likes the licorice flavor and now that it's come up... The only person I know who does like it, is my mother (I should have sent them to her). Anyway, not sure why the taffy companies insist on putting a heap of these in each bag because we just ended up throwing them out after they sat on the communal food table for about a month with not a single one taken -- that's a feat in a facility with 700 employees and most of them construction workers. But I digress... so the first bag had a handful of licorice flavor, the second bag... we had more of those than any other flavor and so the bag was sadly deflated when we picked them all out and threw them away. The second bag had also seen some hard times. Clearly it had gotten quite hot at some point and some of the candies had basically melted and seeped out of the wrapper which basically resulted in a very sticky mess when I opened the bag. I live in Florida, but the weather here had been mild that week and they weren't left outside long after delivery... maybe the mail truck? I don't know, but you might want to rethink if you are having these delivered to a warmer climate. As for the taffy itself. Very good. Soft, tasty with easily recognizable flavors and seemed quite fresh. I would order again, but really would like to see a lot less (or none) licorice flavor. UPDATE: Placed an order again this fall for taffy (Nov 2018). Only one candy had any seepage, but again, in a 3 lb bag, more than 8 oz of taffy were licorice flavored. :( There are 10 flavors and I weighed every one. Licorice was by far the most prevalent flavor with most colors right about 4 oz of each and one with 6 oz. Otherwise, candy was fresh, soft and tasty.

Love these! I thought it was fun and interesting to see how different the mixes are in each bag. My husband tried the Neapolitan when it arrived and declared it the best flavor in the bag; glad he feels that way since we got a ton of those this time! Very few huckleberry or licorice which I'm perfectly fine with. There were probably more Neapolitan and peppermint but since those are our favorite flavors, some of them mysteriously went missing before I could take the time to do this photo haha. We also received a couple of melted pieces but I don't really care about that. This is such a good price for delicious candy! A friend bought us a bag and we were totally hooked on it, so I was delighted to come here and find a huge bag at such a low price.

If you buy this taffy, go into it knowing that you need to pre-plan your taffy eating, which I do not like to pre-plan my taffy binges. It is super, super soft when it's room temperature, very sticky. So sticky I couldn't even get a single piece unwrapped without gobs of sticky residue on my hands b/c the wax paper and the taffy just don't want to let each other go. I solved this by sticking it in the fridge, I thought I had won the taffy eating game. I was wrong. If it's cold, then you have tens of little bits of taffy shards flying everywhere when you unwrap each piece. I don't care if you have the skill set of a seasoned bomb squad technician, you're going to end up with what I've come to call "joker confetti" all around your eating area. To take it one step further, I have sunked to opening up my garbage can and like a taffy loving fiend, slowly unwrap each piece over the can. This method, you'll get a good 80% of the taffy shards in the can as you can dump them out, but rest assured, taffy residue will find it's way onto you, or the can, or the floor. I won't be repeating this purchase. The flavor of the huckleberry taffy is okay. I'll go back to the more traditional, national branded purple taffy that comes individually wrapped and doesn't require an excessive amount of paper towels to enjoy.
