When I first heard of Ambunu through a natural hair you tuber, I was very curious and wanted to try it for myself. I absolutely LOVE it! The slip is incredible and it cleans and moisturizes the hair at the same time!! It is such a simple process to make it. I boil my water and let it sit and steep. When it is slimy and has thickened up, I let it cool, then strain it with my cheese cloth. I apply it to my and my 3 daughters’ hair and allow it to sit for about 5-10 minutes. Our hair comes out clean and very soft! It is absolutely Awesome for all hair textures and works wonders on all our different curl patterns!

I was doing research looking for a naturally derived alternative to aloe vera for use as a detangler/prepoo when I came across ambunu. It provides amazing slip and a gentle cleanse when used directly on the scalp. In my first use, I followed the included directions. Loved the slip, HATED the stems left throughout my 4b coils. The actual leaves did wash away without any problems, but the stemlike parts did get caught. It wasn’t much, but it did require some time and effort to safely remove without leading to breakage. On my second usage, I strained the leaves. Still had pretty good results, minus the stem bits. In my experience, it is not as moisturizing to my hair as aloe vera, but still a very good detangler overall.

Amazing and game changing product for my natural and super thick hair 4C hair. I use hot boiling water, and use a cheese cloth to strain and squeeze the product out. It comes out slimy an gooey. My hair is perfectly cleansed and feels soft and conditioned. Can't live without this!
