What is real?
Often children's books are more than just children's books. At the point of reading this is not always clear. But when hitting a significant age milestone, and you read a book like this, "what is real" becomes a very good question indeed.I don't think I can add much to what has already been said, a brilliant book that sits beside Stone Soup on my bookshelf, and is very real indeed.

Treasure
Wonderful story for life. I’ve known about this book for many, many years and always loved the life lessons inside the covers. A friend of mine came across a quote from The Velveteen Rabbit recently and sent it to me unaware that it was one of my favourite stories. I then got her a copy for her birthday. She said she will treasure it. A treasure it certainly is.

lovely story and good as a bed time read for children at primary school
my daughter received the dvd many years ago from her uncle as a gift so when i gave her this for christmas she was over the moon, she's now 7 and excited to read this before she goes to sleep at bed time. she's really been enjoying it. nice length of book too, can read in parts and save for the following nights. nice size text and its not a hard back which makes it easier for her to read at bed time

A magical tale for all ages
This is a beautiful book for every child and even adult. The tale has moral that all ages can appreciate and is a magical bed time story that every one should hear at least once. We much preferred this one and it's illustration over the others available and highly recommend this edition.
