I would give this Bowie a 6 star rating if possible!
This is a tremendous value for the money, despite what some collectors might say. Never mind the snobs, They will not take their $250 knife out and use it and abuse it…for fear they will damage it and lose its value. But with less than $20 invested in this knife, I can use it, abuse it, resharpen it, and abuse it some more! It has a good feel in the hand and came darn near razor sharp, this is no kids toy, I can clear a trail with it, chop out rip-briars , vines, and honey suckle entanglements. Make tent stakes, split firewood to make kindling and many more camp chores. It is big enough to fight off a coyote or a wolf, if need be, given the chance! If the blade breaks off, it could be used to make a whopping big spear in a pinch! Is it the best construction, nope. Is it pretty, nope. Is it usable, heck yeah! If I lose it, I am only out $20!

Far better than I expected!
I admit I had low expectations but when the knife arrived I was very impressed. It has a wickedly scary look and feel with it's fat black blade. The blade is not crazy heavy like many knives this size. It is easy to wield and change direction smoothly. The grip is a bit blocky but is rubberized and is easy to get a firm grip on to retain control of the blade. The knuckle guard it simple and functional and goes completely from the blade and disappears fully into the grip at the rear. It seems to be attached to the blade inside the grip. The grip has 4 hollow pins going through the tang allowing for a lanyard to put around the wrist or perhaps to use para-cord and attach it to a pole as a improvised spear. It arrived almost razor sharp with a very precise grind on the edge. the sheath is simple and functional. I am totally ok with it but I felt this knife deserves a better sheath. I found a bush craft style one on Amazon, a big 16.5" long custom handmade leather sheath for 10"-10.5" blades. It is a perfect fit, like it was made for it. Yes, the new sheath cost more than the knife but the combination is worth every penny. I am a very happy customer!

Just plain cheap
This knife was only purchased to put one of the final touches to my collection of Bowie knives not for use. If you are looking for a knife to use this one's no the one you want it is really, really cheaply made and will most likely break. Remember you get what you pay for. I do not recommend this knife for use of any kind except show and tell.

I sharpened it. It's so sharp its like a trick knife cuts through a piece of paper about two feet long without a problem. Don't expect it to chop a cinder block great buy though.
