These little bags are a great item to have in your car or boat. They Don’t take up much space and could really of use if getting stranded in in-climate weather.

Space blankets are Reflectors .a regular insulated blanket is a heat trap .Space blanket material reflects infra Red .Night Vision should give a good indicationof what is going on .It is recommended to wrap the space blanketas close as possilbe , no doubt to get the most reflectionof infra red engergy reflected back to the body .Body Core wrap could work .on top of the head works .it is possible to get a tight body wrap.one hand on the inside , the other onthe outside . wearing gloves .

I use this to hang over the window behind a curtain to reflect heat away from a room and keep the room cooler in summer. This brand is the sturdiest one of these I tried so far.

Keeps wind off which keeps you warmer, but doesn’t necessarily warms you on its own unless in direct sun.

I hope I never need to use this! But it is a comfort knowing that it is available IF I need it. It is lightweight, easy stored or carried, and can be a real lifesaver if needed!

Purchased this to carry on backcountry hunts where it may become useful in different situations.For what it is worth, I removed the blanket from the box (but left it in the plastic) and in this configuration it weighed 1.9oz on my kitchen scale (which I believe to be quite accurate).I will be purchasing more to keep in vehicles, get home bags, etc.

I bought these for my wife who was undergoing chemo treatments for her cancer. She was very cold after her treatments and I bought these for her to use and placed them in all of the rooms that she would go in. There were a little bit heavier and more durable than the cheaper made in china blankets. .

I am an experienced user of space blankets, I recently purchased an inexpensive space blanket from Amazon for which gave a 1-star rating. Many similar products are marketed under different brands but appear to be of similar low-quality. I recommend the "Grabber" - brand blanket. Here's why:This blanket is not translucent. I've covered a window with full-Sun beating in. This blanket is opaque; other brands are translucent.The crimp-cut edges are tear-resistant. ie.: The blanket doesn't rip when unfolding. It seems to be as tough as my older space blankets.(I expect it will puncture so avoid sharp objects.)How to distinguish good from bad when ordering: The "Grabber" brand is rated at 3 ounces per blanket while other inferior products have a weight of 1.6 ounces. The weight difference explains the quality difference. Don't be fooled by the low-price of other items.
