I ordered three of these and one of the three is steady-on. I ran the power wire thru a quality brand LED Flasher for flash rate options replaced the weak bulb with a bright one and I am happy. The dome will need to be sealed to keep water out if it is subjected to the out of doors. The dome color is the real yellow deal just as pictured.

Door - warning light
We tied this light to a door controller such that when the unlock signal is sent this light illuminates. It works great as a warning to cross traffic that the door is about to open.
