This is a set of 48 water colored pencils. I have a great variety of colored pencils from Crayola to Marco Raffine to Prisma to Polychromos. I like to do very detailed work with shading and blending so that is one of my key tests in determine the worth of a pencil. I have colored a small swatch in a coloring book for you to see the blending of these pencils. Each color is blended with three separate shades and three separate pencils of the same color class. I found them to blend well and they were creamy enough till you go back and layer the colors even more to make them more vivid.The case is well made and sturdy and the pencils easily come out and just as easily go back in the sturdy elastic loop. The case has a flap on the top inside to protect the points of the pencils. It also rolls up and snaps firmly so it makes it highly portable and honestly a sturdy case.The pencils sharpen well and do not break when sharpening. They also do not break when coloring and applying pressure. The case included a small sharpener, a eraser and a water color brush. I have not yet applied water to them but will update when I do.These would be great for adult coloring as the colors lay down a nice amount of color and blend moderately well. This would be between a student grade and artist grade. As you can see the colors are rich and there is a nice selection.It's really a nice package to take on a trip to do your coloring.
