Arrived and went straight into active service. I thought it was an elastic band, looking quickly at the image, it's the earth wire sleeve.2 meters is more than enough for a basic fitting, I had some to spare.

My local DIY stores only sold this cable in reels of 50m so I was pleased to be able to buy just a short section which was enough to wire up my cooker and slot it into place.
