Bought this to use with my AMP Research power running board while also trying to the car insurance company RightTrack device. The running boards worked fine but the RightTrack wouldn’t come online well enough to send usage data. So ended up having to go direct plug with the RightTracker. Since the AMP worked, I’m going to assume it had more to do with then RightTrack module. Still a good purchase overall.

Item is solid made, however the only thing it’s capable of doing is supplying power to both connectors, all items work if plugged in direct to OBD port without the Y connector, once plugged into the Y nothing works other than to supply power, but no connection to the diagnostic connection.As a mechanic I run into things like this all the time, I was hopeful but this item does not do what it’s advertised to do

I bought this based on the reviews saying it would work for a 2017 Ram 2500 Laramie. I had AMP retractable steps installed and already had a Edge Juice with Attitude CTS2 programmer installed that was occupying the OBD2 port. So i was forced to run just the steps until i could get a splitter. This fit the bill. What i like about this one is that it only had one bundle of wire coming out at a right angle then a short ways down it splits which makes for a cleaner install rather than having 2 bundles of wires coming out that you would see before they get tucked up behind the console. It is a little longer than needed but i just used some black zip ties to tuck it up out of sight. Both my programmer and steps work flawlessly together now! Super fast shipping and everything worked perfect. Great purchase. If you have AMP steps and a programmer that uses the OBD2 port, don't hesitate and buy this splitter!
