Does the chrome piece actually have "range rover" inscribed? is this a genuine land rover/range rover shell?

Absolutely not. I just got mine and the chrome piece have nothing on it I’m so upset and disappointed!

Is the chrome piece made of metal or plastic?

Metal.. It's just like the original except mine said Range Rover (I have a land Rover) on it instead of it being blank like in the pic. But it works perfectly fine.

This is just the shell, if you have the identical remote you will need to remove the internal board and put it in the new remote and yes it work, but remember the old one must identical

I can’t open the key? I’ve tried everything. Is there a different way to open it other then pushing the arrow?

You still have to push the arrow. Mine took a good amount of force. You have to really push hard or cover the edge with something soft and bang it against something at an angle.
