nice and short, lightweight bi-pod, perfect for prone shooting. legs adjustable for LEVELING on uneven terrain. Photo's added
I have this bi-pod on three of my rifles. Two are AR platform and one is a Mosin with the Archangel. I use it for target shooting, prone out in the fields from 100-600 yards. There is a bout a 1/32" of wobble in the folding joints, not a big deal, but for precision shots I do have to apply some slight forward pressure. I like these bi-pods because they are short and make prone shooting more comfortable than the longer ones. I do have higher end bi-pods (Vanguard Equalizer Pro 2 and a Caldwell 6-9), I can't stand them, although of high quality materials, the Vanguard is way too tall(see pic below, literally have to climb on top of the rifle to keep the muzzle flip in check) and makes for very uncomfortable position and the Caldwell pivots too easily for target shooting. I am sure they are both great for their intended purposes as hunting bipods, but not for prone target shooting. I like these because the pivot is easily locked down with an allen key, you can have it swivel on an rubber O-ring if you choose, I just remove the O and crank the allen down so it's immovable., a pretty stable almost fixed system and short. The feet are only adjustable to level your firearm to the terrain, not adjustable for changing the height, I think a lot of people don't understand that. I like that they are twist adjustable so you can easily reach up with one hand and twist the leg-lock, level the rifle and twist it back locked without having to get up. I guess I can understand the complaints about the clearance of thirty round mags, but I have no need to use a 30 round mag when target shooting from prone and generally use a ten round since I am doing 5 shot groupings, but the 20 round mags also have plenty of clearance if you need the extra capacity. Cons are the slight wobble and the knurled knob to tighten onto rail(of course a nice flush allen would be ideal, but then it wouldn't be 1/5 the cost of the others), but neither of these take away from the fact that it's a very useful accessory for an amazing value. One I have owned for three years now and has at least 6k rounds under it, and still hold just fine. At times I wish there was some kind of IQ testing for product reviewers. If you cannot use a tape measure, don't understand that cheaper product will have looser tolerances or just plain don't know what you want in the first place, please don't rip a product that people make a living off of. Obviously UTG isn't hurting to make sales, but some of the negative review are just ridiculous, I believe one said "my room-mates laughed at me"........awwwww, that sucks, so go leave a bad review because your 20$ bi-pod didn't clear your 100round drum mag and your green/red laser/flashlight combo had to be moved back a slot. I understand a few of you had legitimate issues with the durability of the product, okay , that's fine and should be voiced. But the fact that it is short is exactly why some of us like this product and bought it in the first place. A very tall bi-pod can be very difficult to get a good grasp on the rifle without having to climb on top of it, not to mention your raising the bore axis so far above your body that it bounces like a pogo stick after every shot. Different heights for different reasons, if you didn't know that, then just return it without all the griping. Research a product before you buy it and save yourself(and the rest of us) the headache.

seems perfect for the price other than the two scratches next to the quality assurance sticker
I know you get what you pay for but its only human nature that we all want to get more than we paid for and be a happy consumer with no consumers remorse, especially with mail orders sight unseen, and usually i have been pretty happy as far as that goes with Amazon, Im sure this item will be no different, it did arrive very promptly in a new box with all hardware, but of course if there is any needle in a heystack, i will naturally be drawn to it where as your average non highly detail oriented person will own the item forever and never notice unless someone like me points it out to them, such as with my brothers big screen projection tv that he loved until the first time i sat down and watched it and the first thing i noticed was the horizontal orientation was crooked a few degrees, and after i told him, he said he could never watch that tv again without thinking about and noticing the crooked horizontal picture. well whats this got to do with my review, nothing other than as soon as i opened it the first thing i noticed was a few scratches near the top of the legs where they fold, kind of close to the quality inspection sticker that was placed on the item, anyway other than the scratches next to the quality assurance sticker, im sure this will be a fine bi pod, seems sturdy enough to put on any AR type rife, i certainly wouldnt use it with a barret 50 caliber, but it is sturdy and small and compact and perfect for an AR without being too obtrusive, basically its perfect for the money and it does not have those bulky stupid looking springs that the more expensive "automatic" spring activated leg bipods have. so yeah this is exactly what i wanted sans scratches, but ill probably just touch up the scratches with an elmarko permanent marker and youll never notice, plus the hardware that atatches it is strong sturdy and compact so when the legs are folded foward, the unit does not take up hardly more than an inch or two or rail space. barring any unforseen failures in the construction of the unit id say its the perfect unit for the perfect price with a perfect size and function. guess ill go back and give it five stars instead of 4 even with the scratches because i realy like the look and feel of it and it feels as sturdy as a craftsman wrench or something heavy duty like that!

Not as good as a Harris, but it works
It seems like in this price range you can either get a tall bipod or a short one, but not one that's largely adjustable. This one, obviously, is a short one, so keep in mind. Even though it is adjustable, the difference in height is only around an inch. It works well for target shooting off a bench, and also shooting prone from the ground. The feet are spring-loaded, but can also be locked in place by tightening the rings. The springs are not strong enough to support the weight of my rifle and scope very well, so I keep them locked all the time. The folding legs also lock in place very well, I never worry about them collapsing. The rubberized feet make the bipod stay in place during panning and moving, although the screw on the base of the bipod mount tends to come loose over time. Some loc-tite is probably need on several screws in the base, but the circular fastener that holds the entire mount on can be left alone. That fastener makes it a piece of cake to remove or reattach the bipod when I'm putting the gun away in a case, and it is not one of the fasteners that tends to come loose during use. Overall I'd give the bipod a 4 out of 5. The features all work, but are fairly weak. However, with everything adjusted properly it is a solid bipod. Just not nearly as nice as a Harris.

Sehr gute Qualität, leider für mich zu niedrig. Umtausch, kein Problem.

This little piece is quite sturdy, the spring loaded legs fold individually and provide a maximum lift of the rear sight of a VZ 58 Sporter, leveled, to 10 inches from the ground with a 7" wide stance. (Mounted on FAB-Defence Poly hand guards.) Each leg is telescopic and spring loaded. They each extend 1/2 inch and can be locked short, long or any place in between, they can be also left unlocked and will "float" a little bit with the terrain. Each leg has a rubber foot which, in theory, would allow over the hood shooting without scratching the hood. The fully extended length is good for me, I am 6' 2". The mount is solid, and the locking screw is large enough to actually put a little torque on it to hold it in place. The actual "jaw" on the mount is 3/4 of an inch wide. It took a week to receive it in my mailbox, and it came with everything as advertized. So far so good. I am shooting a little tomorrow. A good buy for 28 bucks. Dan

A well made Bipod fits the items with no problems what so ever

This is a very basic, functional bipod. The all-metal construction is solid, and the included swivel-to-picatinny adapter that's included works well and fastens quite tightly. The bipod itself is quite small, but is more than enough height for my 10/22 to use a 25 round Butler Creek magazine and still have clearance with the bench. If you need an inexpensive, well built, smaller bipod then this is probably the one you want.
