The Illustrated Words of Jesus for Women Daily Devotional - 366 Days of Calming Coloring and Meaningful Meditation on the Words of Jesus

This is a small format book that is primarily a devotional guide. Each day (including February 29th for leap year) has a quote of the words of Jesus, a guide about what the words mean and how to apply them in your life, a quote or suggested activity, and a small coloring project as well. Most pages have some lines in which you can journal your thoughts, etc. I am really enjoying this book. I keep it on the end table near where I have my morning tea, along with a small set of coloring pencils. I start my day with the book and it is perfect for setting the tone of the day and giving me something to think about instead of getting caught up in the grind and hassles that spring up and try to grab your attention. It is helping keep me grounded and remembering what is most important. I generally provide a video of my coloring books but this book is an exception as it is more devotional than coloring book. I will provide a few photo samples so you can see the format as well as a couple of my last pages I have completed in the book. I did test the book and this is what I found: 366 pages of daily devotional and coloring pages in a small (but thick) take-along size book. Printed on both sides of thin, white, slightly rough, non-perforated paper. Sewn Binding Alcohol and water-based markers all leak through to some degree (except Tombows brush end which left a colorful shadow on the back of the page.) India ink pens left colorful shadows on the page of the page. Gel pens did not leak through but some (Tekwriter and Fiskars) left shadows when using dark or bright colors.) Coloring pencils work well with this paper. Both oil and wax based pencils put down good color with both a light and firm touch. They both layered well. Wax based pencils did better in blending. Hard lead pencils left slight dents on the back of the page. I plan to use coloring pencils and perhaps the occasional gel pen with this book. For me, this is not really about coloring; it is about think of what Jesus said and what it means to me. That I get to color a little bit while pondering this makes it a little more special.

I received this this afternoon and read through most of January. The pictures were really well drawn, but more importantly these devotions are really really good. I don’t write a lot of reviews but this most certainly deserved one.

Absolutely beautiful! Just received this and it’s perfect. It came earlier than expected, which is much appreciated since I’m giving it as a gift. The design is very aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Each page has the day labeled on the top corner of the page, a title, a verse to color, a couple devotional paragraphs, a section to journal and reflect, and a short quote or prayer.

I was so impressed with this book, the paper, the verses, the space to journal and also color. Love this book and it was a great price! You won't be disappointed, a beautiful keepsake or to give as a gift!

This contains Scripture(s) from Jesus, a prayer, and a very short but touching message, plus a page to color. This is such an improvement over my other devotionals who tend to preach instead of guide you along. I love it so much I can hardly wait until the next day! Buy this, you will love it.

Very beautiful covers to this book and excellent choice of Scriptures. It even has space for you to write your thoughts about what you read. Most of what you color are the words of Scripture. I had hoped the inside would have had pictures to color as beautiful as the ones on the cover. Most of what you color is in a cheesy font which was off putting to me. It looks like strings of spaghetti, mostly. Still, the true heart of this book is wonderful!!!!!!!

I love this devotional. I don’t want to miss a day to stop, be quiet, and listen and learn about God, from God. This is the perfect devotional for me, and the first that has drawn me back to it. I’ve played catchup in reading the days I missed because I just found this lovely read. It is soothing my soul and filling my heat with Gods love, truths and presence. Thank you, Carolyn. Thank You, Lord. ❤️ *While coloring the page for the day I reflect on Gods word. It is very relaxing for me.

This is a beautiful book to keep in touch with the Lord each day. Not much to colour in, I'd recommend a colour bible like inspire if you want to do more in the way of colouring. However this got me into bible journaling it was a nice taster with out the worry of ruining a precious bible.

Beautiful book, I'm over 40 and I always wanted to by heart bible verses but could never achieve. This book helps me with my goal as I love picking it up as I love coloring
