It works great.
It was easy to set up. Works great. The 5G doesn't reach as far as my last router, but if fast within range. The 2.5G reaches very far and it's plenty fast for streaming and our outdoor cameras. I really like the Nighthawk app

Great Modem That Worked Right From The Start
One of the biggest problems with a lot of cable modems is that you never know what you're going to get until you unbox it and plug it in: will it work with your current devices? Will your ISP recognize it? Will it hold a connection? Does the Wi-Fi work? Can you bridge connections? Can you chain routers? Etc., etc., etc.I've been through quite a few modems over the last ten years, at least six. And I have to say, the Netgear AC1200 has been the easiest to setup and the most comprehensive when it comes to managing it and connecting devices.Yes, it has been one of the more expensive cable modems I've bought, but the features make it worth it. One of the best parts about it is that once you hook it up and power it on, you can access the modem remotely from any device connected to the AC1200 either via Wi-Fi or through a router connection. This is a huge boon, because I've had some modems where you can't access them if you're connected through a separate router connected to the cable modem. Here, it's always accessible and always secure. The setup process is extremely intuitive, as it guides you through the process on setting up the modem for the first time based on your internet provider, but once that's done, there are a lot of great GUI features to make navigating the controls, settings, administration features, and connection rates with ease. One of the biggest problems I've had with past modems is not being able to limit bandwidth or set rate limits, but with the AC1200 you can schedule access based on time of day (which is great if you have kids that you don't want online past or before a certain time), bandwidth limitations to prevent bandwidth caps from being exceeded, as well as access control, guest control, and even 5G connectivity.I'm still learning some of the ins and outs of how the modem works, and some of the more advanced settings, but it's been amazing so far and I love its sleek design, quick boot-up times, and expansive user control settings. Also, being able to hook up multiple routers and bridge connections with nary a hiccup is really why this gets a 5 out of 5 stars.

Good modem , useless NightHawk app
The C6230 provides good connectivity for a dual modem and wifi router. However, the recommended NightHawk app that Netgear recommends to use to activate the mode is a POS.The NightHawk app repeatedly fails to recognize the modem when it’s connected to the same network and fails to properly set it up. I was so frustrated with the app that I used the tried-and-true method of connecting directly to the modem via a web browser and the modem’s default IP address.I’ve used other Netgear modems before and I always find that the modem’s built in web configuration tool is superior to any stupid app.One important thing that the NightHawk app failed to indicate was that the modem needs to be activated by the ISP prior to configuring it’s other settings. I just used a plain ole web browser and once my ISP (Spectrum) saw the modem was a new device, it walked me through the activation process, all online and all on the plain ole web browser.Kudo’s to Spectrum’s easy process to activate a new modem. Two thumbs down to the Netgear’s useless NightHawk app; will be deleting that POS from my devices. So enough ranting about the setup process. The modem itself is very compact; the fact that it was a duo modem and wifi router was the deciding factor that I used when buying this modem. Didn’t want two clunky things when a single compact device was enough. I’ve used cheapo thirty bucks wifi routers from Netgear before and they’re easy to setup and have been foolproof.Wifi signal has been good on both 2 and 5 g bands. Wired connection is consistent and predictable.Overall I’m pretty happy with the product.
