only reason i’m giving 4stars not because the item worked cause it did… the part im not happy about is i just came in and broke within 3 minutes i pulled it out of my phone to charge and the jack got stuck inside my iphone for an hour i wish i took a picture of it in the phone but you can tell that the connection piece wasn’t welded properly to the adapter… i don’t want a refund if it means i can get a replacement other than the break the item is perfect. i just happened to get the lemmon

If your considering this as an OTG …. Don’t . so far it enables nothing nothing g after iOS 13 . Multi card reader that worked on my first gen SE and still didn’t do jack with this in my XR except snap the terminal off in my lighting port , Sandisk iExpand , nothing , sandisk apps did nothing …. Just complete nothingness . Nothing in my photos did a single thing to enable external storage transfer of files . Not even apples provided lightning to USB C cable did anything. I though it was the port because these broke off so much in to my phone. I really think apple disabled legacy USB privelages on all iPhones iOS 13 and further . My first Gen SE had the iBrary app with its cheap Walmart multi card reader and sim reader I moved files decently . So don’t consider . Not that I’m trying to bash sales but because it really won’t work. The only thing that worked was connecting an iPhone to an android phone and copying pictures from clouds …. “On my iPhone “ doesn’t let you near it tho. I even split this down to standard usb and those didn’t even work. Just not something apple is allowing anymore . iOS itself won’t even send a signal for power threw these anymore. And everything you see here . Works in all my android devices and my laptops . They all worked before updates , but not recently after 13 . CarPlay barely works on USB now. I wanted to do this to solve that annoying full storage error but nadda. Buy at your own risk. You have to be super careful or they break off from the boards inside, not sure why apple cut it … but it’s gone . The apps don’t even browse internal memory anymore

I will include an update a lot of bad reviews but my 2nd purchase
I have had no issues I understand it heats up as it will by the use is being for temp only. As for the movement speed it is dependent on your flash stick slow means slow fast will only max out at what this allows. I have a fast usb and use this and it moves a whole ton of files but will take a few minutes. Talking 60gigs so it is well suited for those who understand how a flash drive works. If you do not then pay extra for one that is already made for the iPhone but still it will overheat so good luck finding magic where doesn’t exist.

Works flawlessly
Works flawlessly with i phones with lightning portAfter 15 sec first connect shows up as unknown in Files. I did not connect to usb cord but chose a thumbdrive. Speed was good with usb 3.
