I bought this book (kindle) for $2.99 at our favorite book store...Amazon. I have to admit at first I wasn't expecting too much. This is probably the best beginner guitar book I have in my library. If you are just beginning you need to read this book. Nicholas is a guitar player and at the beginning of this book he tells the reader what you should learn on the guitar in a logical progression. His writing style is very easy and it is like he is talking directly to you. Excellent beginners book!!!!

This book is well written and amazingly thorough. I think some musical background may be needed, but the author also has a beginner's book. I've been wanted to take up guitar again after many years away from it - this book explains everything clearly. I thought the 'mind bending note finding' visualization game to be an intriguing way to up your skills. The author is very descriptive and obviously well versed in music theory.

Your enthusiam and ability to communicate so much info was very impressive! I have always wanted to play guitar! My brother plays bass, guitar, and piano with several bands and my sister is a concert pianist. I love music theory! I really want to learn guitar! Thanks for doing a great job on your book! As a guitar player myself, I can say this is one of the best books on this topic I've ever read. Not only teaches A TON on information but the structure is really great. No complicated or fuzzy chapters, really clear. It cover finding notes throughout the fretboard,learning the major scale (super important for a guitar player) with its different shapes, putting them in practice, mastering the chords (not only the open ones or easy ones but other shapes on the fretboard) and much more.You can immediately see the Author explains all the subject from his own words and that makes the book really simple to follow.This book makes a perfect complement to the previous one he created.You might want to read this book if you are willing to improve your understanding in this subject, worth every penny.

This book is a candid walk through on how to get jammin. AND its part of a series. This author has years experience and Holds your hand in getting through it. Definitely recommend checking it out!

This is a great book if your goal is to de-mystify the fret board. I highly recommend this book.

Clarity of information.

It definitely helps for understanding the fretboard. Though there are plenty of videos on guitar learning, but the best thing about having a book is all the information is organised.

Lots of information - some, a bit too repetitive. Main fault of this book is it’s writing. A few parts are close to incomprehensible. Could have done with a better proof-reading before publication.
