Love this product but I used the bottom of a drinking glass to pond the cover it opens the pomegranate up immediately. I don’t tap with a wooden spoon not powerful enough

So we had a different brand and though they seem very similar this one just doesn't work as well.

i was sold what appears like a second-hand item. The bottom of the bowl has large, black sooty fingerprints on it that are not going away even after washing with warm, soapy water. Moreover, it's giving off the red paint of the rubber at the bottom wherever I place it. I do not know now if that red color coming off is toxic or not. The only good thing about it is the latticed top for the bowl which helps catch the seeds. The rest of it is junk and an used junk at that. It is a total waste of money.It should not have cost more than 2 or 3.00. Paying 17.00 for this was being robbed. The tapping with a heavy spoon is a joke. Almost no seeds separated from the hard rind of the pomegranate with this. The bloated balloon bra is at best a sex toy.

This item really works. It only takes a couple of minutes to get the fruit of the pomegranate. It used to take me 20 minutes to get the seeds of a single pomegranate. Glad our friend told us about this item.

Used for de-seeding pomegranates. Packaging was terrible like it had been opened and/or used; and the person didn’t like it and put it back in the box to be resold. The red bottom also stains the counter top. Wouldn’t recommend this product.

Works great. I just wish the top cover stays firmly in place when knock to get seeds out. But either way. Love it as it cuts my time with doing it manually.
