Works right out of the box with the Alesis DM10x drum module
I bought the KU100 because I want to reduce the noise my playing causes (I live in an apartment). I was happy when the KU100 worked right out of the box with my Alesis DM10x drum module. I didn't even have to fool with the trigger sensitivity settings. As others have said the KU100 is not that bouncy. I only played it for a few minutes. My leg is very tired already. I couldn't get any double beats yet. Given the low price, it seems like a good buy.

Worth the money. Best option for yamaha dd75
I bought this for my Yamaha dd75. I am beginner drummer and this is my first kit. The pedals which came in the box with dd75 were just plain stupid. I looked up online and could find that this is the promised one to buy with an electric kit.Since I have very less experience of using other types of pedal, I can't say how better it is compared to others but this product is a high quality, well built and well designed product. It strong and heavy and comes with a really long cable which is really impressive. I haven't faced any issues using it.Concern- the only concern or question I got in my mine after using it was if the spring is supposed to be that thin or should it be offering more resistance and if should be bouncing back stronger. I found it comfortable but I felt the pedal getting back into it's original position is lil eased out and it should be somehow quick.Added the pedals which came included in dd75

NEARLY SILENT!! and next to zero reverb into the floor when playing!!
I got this since I live in an Apartment, and playing my e-drums is a stress reliever. but when a few months ago i got the dreaded knock on my door to quiet down one evening, I haven't touched them since :( I stumbled on this pedal sort of by accident, when searchign for a way to quiet my existing beater style pedal. and when I saw this was beater-less and compatible with my head unit (Alesis DM-8) I hit buy now. It arrived today, and I plugged it in, and had to try out my kit for the first time in months. and I can tell you it's really, REALLY quiet.. even when you stomp on the thing it makes a tiny noise.. but NOTHING like my old Beater bar and kick pad. Just because I'm paranoid, and trying to be a good neighbor, I folded a tshirt and put it under the pedal just to eliminate any transfer of vibration to the floor, and even playing with headphones off, and just listening to the sticks on my pads, and kick pedal.. it's more quiet that my Window-AC that's 9ft away, even when mashing on the pedal. HIGHLY reccomend this if like myself, you're looking fior an e-kick pedal upgrade, and also cannot reccomend it enough for those looking for a nearly silent pedal for any E-Kit.

Basic pedal, doesn't respond well
Tried using this kick pedal with my Alesis Strike Multipad. It's compatible, but the response is poor. Hard to play quick patterns consistently when compared to a real pedal with a KAT bass drum pad. It's compact and looks sturdy, but that doesn't outweigh the poor playability.

The Pedal that makes sense
Look I have a very large amount of kick drum Acoustic pedals. And digital kick drum Pedals. I tried this pedal found it to be a great digital drum pedal easy to hook up, and feels great. Does take up any room either. It's a 10 and very glad I picked this pedal up. GROOVE!

These just did not work for me.
Now, these are Yamaha pedals. The quality was there, and the build was good. They just did not work for the setup I had. So be careful when it comes to the switches you need, but most importantly, look at the bands on your plugs. I needed a foot pedal that accepted a two band plug, and this accepted three these rings or bands dictate. How many wires are actually in the cable.

Works well with Roland HPD-15
This pedal is a reliable trigger for my Roland Handsonic HPD-15, in fact I'm using two of them for Triggers 1 and 2. For my playing style it's not important that the pedal have high spring resistance or inertia like a pedal with a beater, so the low spring tension design is fine for me, even preferred now... it's more like a velocity-sensitive switch. The action is plenty fast enough for quick double strokes, especially once you get used to it. A setting of trigger type K-2 with a sensitivity setting of 12 on a linear curve works perfectly, and gives a good, full range of response. This pedal is also very light and compact, making it easy to pack and carry. For me it's an ideal choice.
