Using something like Timemore after this one is just unbelievable easy and pleasant. But this one is just bad, also it can be very hot because of the friction on the top part of the body. And it take an eternity just to grind 12g of beans

This is the perfect travel grinder. Folds up smaller than an aeropress and is well balanced. I've been using this daily for a few months and it's been perfect.

Worked well for a couple weeks. Now it easily gets off balance and becomes impossible to turn/grind in a fluid motion. Very annoying when I have to stop after half a turn to rebalance. Also, as another person noted in their review, the metal along the top gets very hot during use. That may be the cause of the unit not turning well. I have an older grinder that I will go back to for the time being...

I love the Snow Peak brand and everything that I own by them has been high quality and build to last. However, this coffee grinder is not one of them. The design concept to keep the cap and handle inclusive causes the top to bind with the side wall of the hopper. This creates so much friction that you're unable to continue grinding until you stop and reposition the cap and handle assembly. If you are lucky enough to get a few turns before it binds to a halt, the amount of friction causes more heat than I want to deal with. That said, the grind quality and consistency is very nice and nice solid build materials, but I had to return mine.
