These are great!
I have been wearing Merrill Moab Vent hiking shoes for the last few years for work. When my most recent pair of Merrills came, they were really bad in fit and comfort. Sometimes there is variation amongst different shoes even the same style/size, but since their overall quality has been declining, I decided to try the Keens. I am a nurse and am on my feet a lot. I am also quite heavy, so sturdiness and support are extremely important. A poorly fitting or not supportive pair of shoes can literally cripple me for a week after one day of work.Boy I am telling you right now I will never go back! These shoes are so comfortable! The arch support was a little bit lacking, but different insoles took care of that no problem. The rest of the shoe feels quite sturdy and also has lots of cushion. My feet sweat a lot, and I have had no problem with these. I expect to get at least 6 months of daily wear at work from these, and will update if I don’t.

Not mase in USA
Most Keen shoes say either made in USA or imported. Pretty much a guarantee that they are imported. These specifically said they were made in USA. They are made in India. That said, fit is true to size. Very comfortable. If you have a high arch you may need a new footed. Quality looks good new, time will tell.

Keen is still king of the toebox
As a guy with ,well not a wide foot, but with long toes and a large big toe on each foot I have to be careful with shoes and boots that taper at the tip or buy a size larger to get the room. Keen seems to understand that a large and protected toebox makes for happy feet. I bought this pair without having tried one on in a store, or having owned this model just on the strength of having owned more that 6 different Keen products from boots to sandals. I did this two weeks before a European vacation where I was going to walk at least 10 to 15 thousand steps a day. I quickly broke them in about 15 miles walking and wore them daily on my trip. Not one issue, none and they are holding up great about 40 miles on them now.

Instant Comfort
These vented Keen's leave the house with me each morning for my seven mile walk. Day-in-day-out my feet feel great and when I noticed the tread disappearing and the heel wearing thin I bought this new pair. Right out of the box I can wear this shoe with none of the initial breaking-in discomfort others talk about when they buy new shoes.

Literally 50/50 good/bad quality
Reading through all these reviews you’ll notice two main trends. Those who say these shoes are made well, and the rubber caps on the toes never falls off, and those who say these shoes are built poorly, and the rubber caps break off after hardly any use.My right shoe is perfect, no hint at loosing any trim or anything. The left shoe has nearly disintegrated. Everything that is glued on, is coming off, or has already come off. That explains the title of this review, literally 50/50. You might get good shoes, you might get bad shoes, or you might get one good and one bad shoe. Gotta find humor where it lies in todays world.

Very comfortable
These Keens are very comfortable, I also purchased a pair of Merrill’s, but tend to grab the Keens first, as I can walk pretty much all day without any problems or issues. Had these for 2 to 3 months now, very good, fit and finish, so far so good. This is my second pair first pair is 5 years old worn occasionally and still holding up well.
