Works great for Great Grandma, holds her books so she doesn’t have to strain holding book.

When the family made their XMAS lists this year, Grandma put Barbara Striesand's new book on her list. This is a 900 pager and weighs over 3 pounds.. Very difficult for anyone to hold let alone Granny. I was looking for something to help an avid reader of physical books get some relief from holding a heavy book. This book couch is perfect. It has a very attractive design and functionality. It works great holding up Bab's new book as well as an iPad. Grandma is very comfortable sitting up in her bed with the book couch on her lap, reading away. The item came wrapped air-tight in plastic. It is suitable for adults and children.

I bought this to hold my printed books. It works okay but the tabs that hold the pages open are not very strong. I've had my larger books just fall out. I have to bend the book pages back to get the book to sit and stay open. I will keep it and continue to use it at times.It's perfect for a tablet but my tablet case also functions as a stand so that wasn't a need for me.I recommend this for books at 300 pages or less that lay open without difficulty.For bigger books I recommend the BOOKSEAT product. I have a great deal of arthritis and nerve damage in my hands, soI think those working to create book pillows are onto something and I am glad.One day they will get it just right.

I bought one of these several years ago, and recently purchased another as a gift. Had to return it! There was no way I could gift it: the quality is terrible!This new version has maybe half the stuffing as the old one, and as a result it cannot hold a book (unless maybe we're talking about a small paperback picture book?).In both versions, the 'page holders' in front are made of two thin flat strips which extend down through the stuffed base. In the OLD version, the strips are firmly embedded in the stuffing, which keeps them nicely in place. In the NEW version, they're much smaller, AND they're just sort of floating in the front w/no stuffing around them, which makes them poke out from the bottom and offer almost no pageholding capabilities.The new version of this product is terrible compared to the old one, which is a shame, because I love the old one. I use this daily for my iPad. I can use it for most hardcover books too. It book is to large or soft cover, it does not hold the pages like it should.

First I would say this is a beautiful pillow like piece of work, the materials nice and soft, but it is so flimsy it will not hold a paperback or hardback book or a tablet. I was very disappointed. I broke my shoulder and and I am rehabilitating and thought that this would work so I could read my book but it won't.
