It's called Scalp 'Master' for a reason
Such a great quality build. I've heard about Scalpmaster and their line of products, up until now I haven't tried one. This is such a good brush, with the firmness of the bristles just right. It is 100% Boar Hair, but there are some small strands of nylon bristles included as well.. I'm sure this helps with the strengthening and firmness of the bristles.. No complaints about it

Better with fine or thin hair.
I read the other reviews to purchase but should have paid more attention to what they were brushing. [fine hair, nap of neck] To brush normal or thick hair this brush is much to soft. It reminds me of those soft baby brushes. Probably good on thin hair or fine hair but it doesnt work for me. I will give it away, the price does not warrant sending it back.

Nice brush
Nice brush - soft bristle. I part my hair in 1-2" sections and work from the root out while watching TV at night. The bristles are soft so this is the best way to get it through the hair and drag oils from the scalp on down the hair shaft to condition and protect it. It will slick down the hair but also can cause static so I just run my hands through my hair a bit to counter that. Boar bristle brushes are very healthy and gentle on hair and were very popular with the old movie stars. That's how they got that nice, sleek hair before hair conditioners came out.

bristle hairbrush
have very short hair (by choice) and comb will not be of any use to have any type of a hair style

Ergonomically well designed.
Inexpensive. They bristles are of goos quality and spaced apart between the rows just the right distance. Consequently easy to keep clean.

Should be firmer
Way too soft for an adult with medium to thick hair. I'll use it on my baby instead. Does create a soft shiny head of hair, but the bristles are coming out and it requires a lot of patience

Buyer Beware
This is a boot brush with a handle. If you ever had a brush for your western boots, this is the same bristles. Soft. Too soft to brush your hair unless you are an infant. NOT doing a return as personal care products are not allowed to be returned which is understandable, so JUST DO NOT BUY THIS POLISHING / TOO SOFT FOR HUMANS BRUSH...
