I love my pressure cooker for the last 4 years, they are great, I have been apprehensive about the black water color when I am washing it.

I have the 8 qt Presto aluminum pressure cooker-love it, a recent purchase. I wonder if that happens because of the aluminum. I used it once for a potato ragu with sirloin beef: yum!! Hadn't cooked that in a couple of years.Where I'm from people love Magnalite aluminum pots. Except for my Presto, I don't use aluminum pots because of acidic foods like spaghetti sauce that could leach out the aluminum. Will probably get the Presto 6 qt stainless pressure cooker next.

Any real difference between the stainless and Aluminum? Other than metal. My mother lived to be 97 years and most of her pans were aluminum.

So, I'm totally confused... The product name says "Presto 01282 8-Quart Aluminum Pressure Cooker", but the "From the Manufacturer" says it is 6-quart and Stainless Steel. So what am I buying here? I want an aluminum, 8-Quart pressure cooker - is this it?
