I purchased this set of lead for my Pentel Graphlet .3mm pencil. I had been using Pentel High Polymer in HB but wanted something more soft and dark. I am an avid wood pencil writer and really enjoy B and HB Japanese drawing pencils because of their point retention and darkness. For that reason I suspected that I would like the B hardness the best, assuming that 2B would be too dark and I would find myself clicking the lead down too much.After trying all three grades in this pack I can confidently say that the 2B hardness is fantastic for daily writing and the best hardness in this pack. You may think that a .3mm pencil is too fine for daily writing but with 2B lead it is a dream. The lead is smooth and dark, meaning you need far less pressure than with a b or hb. Because of the softness of the lead when you rotate the pencil as your write the sharp side wears down quickly, meaning punching through paper is no longer a concern in the slightest. I have been writing with the 2b lead throughout the day for two weeks and haven't had a single breakage from writing. Smudging is non-existent too, which is important for a lefty. I will be buying Ain Stein 2B lead until the day I die.

Surprisingly durable, I dropped a container on tile from standing and the leads inside were fine. These are not impossible to smudge with your fingers (while trying to), but they smudge less than equivalent leads. The B and 2B seem to smudge about as much as a regular HB, and the HB is somewhat difficult to smudge unless you pile up heavy strokes somewhere. They are nice refills for 3mm. They erase very easily with a kneaded eraser which is also nice.

My Pentel GraphGear 300 jammed with the original lead, but (after spending hours to clear the jam) it worked with each of these leads.

Specific size/hardness refills, work as expected.

the color is nice and dark and they are nice examples of all the different hardnesses. I use them in my Orenz Nero and they work great. Never had one break or jam in the auto advancing mechanism so they are awesome.

This is very great for value and it holds up! The lead is very nice and exactly how you want it. Its perfect and i havent had an issue. Very neat.

Very well made for drafting pencils. Great quality and very hard, won't break during use. It provides confidence for doing traditional drafting.
