This product works as a good substitute for a charlotte mould, given that they are not always commercially available (or lidded). The dimensions of this product match exactly with the dimensions of a standard charlotte mould (4 in. high and 2 qt. capacity). I have deducted a star from the review owing to the thin and unreliable construction of the metal, and the many unnecessary parts of the lid mechanism.
