LIPOELASTIC Silicone Scar Gel - Effective Scar Treatment enriched with Vitamin E and Silicone to treat surgery scars, liposuction scars, wounds, skin trauma and burns is one of the best scar treatments I have had the pleasure of using on a scar I have on my face which I have tried many products on. I like the fact this is so easy to use, and it is so smooth to apply. It has an extraordinarily rich consistency therefore a little goes a long way. It is applied easily and leaves a matte finish which cosmetics can be applied if desired. It is recommended that it will need a few months of continued application which I am happy to do as I am noticing a reduction of the scar both in colour and size. This is a quality product and one I am happy to recommend as a good purchase.

The amount of scar gel in this tube is very small and since it can take up to 6 months (or longer) for new scars to improve it may not be enough for 2x daily application unless the scar is quite small. The gel feels very similar to matte and velvet makeup primers and stays on top of the skin without fully absorbing. I often apply this underneath a silicone scar sheet to protect it from getting on clothing and basically rubbing off. Silicone gel and sheets have a proven track record of helping the appearance and discomfort for new and old scars, I am currently using it on a raised scar and have only been using it for a month so it's not long enough to see massive changes, the gel seems to be good quality and reduce the discomfort of the scar, I do wish there was more product in it though.

I'm using this to try to improve the look of a pitted scar from a retired piercing. So far it's had no discernable effect, though the product instructions claim it can take 6 months. Is it value for money? It is compared with the alternative (dermal filler in my case) but if its not worked after 6 months then it's not really. Time will tell... 3 stars left as a neutral review. Will update if there is visible improvement.

My dad recently had a skin graft and has now been left with a scar on his arm. When I saw this I thought it might be worth trying as it had good reviews. A little of this goes a long way and they recommend that you put it on twice a day. I have scars on my legs from bites that I’m wanting to try this on as well. The tube isn’t that big and is a little pricey but if it works then the price doesn’t matter. I guess only time will tell to see if this works.
