Saltiest sea moss ever!
I bought this because I thought there may be some nutritional upside but it's so salty and you cannot wash it enough to diminish it.

Once I tried it, felt the results, I will continue to use sea moss daily. Gel is easy to make.
I never thought I would be eating sea moss or making sure I consume 1 tablespoon a day. I am newer to sea moss. This is the second time I made sea moss gel. My second try at making it was better than the first. Part because of the AWESOME instructions that are included on the bag.I kind of stumbled across sea moss. I told my daughter I had the opportunity to try it. My initial thoughts were why would I buy sea moss. Then, my daughter told me ALL about sea moss. Not that she had ever tried it but her coworkers consume it daily and swear by it. We looked it up and read all of the benefits. 92 out of 102 trace minerals. Her coworkers, eager to have a newbie trying it, have given me two herbs to supplement the sea moss so I can consume all of the trace minerals! One of the things I was very curious about was that it is to help with the digestive system. It is also supposed to be anti-inflammatory. I have been consuming sea moss now for about 3 weeks. One week of this particular brand. I can honestly say my digestion has improved greatly. I can also feel the anti-inflammatory effects. I feel like I have more energy. In receiving this sea moss, it comes in a white resealable bag. The package tells you ALL you need to know in preparing it. There is no need to search out how to make sea moss gel online. There is one ounce of dried dark purplish black sea moss in the bag. Flipping the bag over tells the instructions to make it. Rinse the sea moss well. I used filtered water. The bag doesn't say so, but everything I read online does say use filtered or spring water. I then placed it in a stainless steel bowl with the 4 cups of FILITERED water. I let it sit for about 30 hours. After the 30 hours, I drained it, rinsed it with filtered water again. Added it to the blender with 2 cups of filtered water. Please note: the instructions say 3 cups of filtered water. I chose to use 2 cups because I am new to this process but have already made one batch and it called for a lot less water. I could always add the additional cup of water if it was necessary. The key thing that the package told me that online did not was to blend it for a full 3 to 4 minutes. This made a HUGE difference. The end product of this brand is a very smooth gel substance that is able to mix in my oatmeal and not be detected.I am still a little squeamish about consuming it, but I am getting past that when I have a better digestive system especially because of it. My daughter's coworkers consume it by taking a shot of it daily. I can't do that, at least not yet. I prefer it in my oatmeal. I cannot detect it at all.A couple things in making this package of sea moss into sea moss gel. Following the directions exactly, it will make 24 ounces (3 cups) of gel. From what I have read, it will keep in the fridge for one month. I have read that I can freeze it. 3 cups is 48 tablespoons. I think I will use less sea moss next time. Cutting the recipe in 1/2. If it is 1 ounce of dried sea moss, cutting my starting dried sea moss to .5 ounces will give me half the recipe. The dried sea moss has a best buy date of 12/2022. I will definitely be using the dried sea moss all by then! Definitely can't consume 48 tablespoons or 32 tablespoons in 2 cups in a timely fashion. My experience is that I prefer to replace it every two weeks if keeping in the fridge.Lastly, it is flavorless when it is cold and in gel form. When it is freshly blended and warm, there is a slight smell of ocean. This goes away soon as it is cold and in gel form. Completely flavorless. I also did not put the lemon juice in it because I will freeze the extra portions for future use and next time make a reduced amount!
