Excellent results
Excellent product for protecting outdoor wood. Absorbed well on first coat but did take a while to finally dry. 2nd coat, which is recommended, applied quickly and dried much faster than the 1st coat. Clean-up was not a chore. Hopefully will see good UV results to my wood planter.

Good quality oil and a little goes a long way
I brought this to seal 2 cedar planters. This goes on easy and coverage is great.

Expensive, but holds up well in fla weather!
Great product. I asked a wood working friend and he recommended this for outdoor use here in fla. He said it is the best product for our harsh weather and has lasted 5 years so far without reapplication! 4 stars, as it is a bit expensive. I recommend.

Outdoor cedar table application
I used this finish an outdoor cedar table that I built. I sanded off a spar varnish finish that failed after a couple of years. I applied 2 coats with a rag a day apart. It went on very easily an so far look great - my wife thinks its better than the original coat. It will be interesting to see how well it holds up over a Pacific Northwest winter.

Osmo me Babee!!
I tried an exterior product on a wooden gluelam bench and a beam— west facing— the product was touted to be the very best in I’ve protection— and the beam is now bone dry/stripped of any finish as was the bench— so having used osmo oil/wax on my interior floors (fantastic by the way) I tried this on my resanded bench— and so far it has withstood the sun, rain— we will see what winter does to it. Now we just have to figure out how to get to the third story outer beam sanded and refinished w this—

This is a great finish for outdoor projects.
I applied this finish on two cedar gates I made for my son’s front porch and it made the red cedar look wonderful! I used a high quality stain brush to apply it which requiredimineral spirits to clean, but the brush was the best tool I found to apply smooth thin coats of the oil. It did not work well with a foam brush or a 0000 polyester pad (they tended to leave too much finish on the surface making it difficult to dry).Be patient for it to dry - it can take 12-2401 hours to fully dry before you apply a second coat (much more if the air is humid). It is a little pricey compared to other finishes but overall, I really like the results so far. I haven’t subjected the project to the elements yet so we’ll see how it holds up outside.
