Took me less than an hour to assemble, only needed a little help from my husband but a person can assemble this on their own with no problem. It’s been sturdy so far but will update if any problems arise. Tip for anyone building on their own, I would start with the base shelf first on the bottom so that it could hold itself up and stand while you nail the other shelves down.

I put this piece of furniture in my son's room so he could put his books and some of his personal things. The color he chose that fuel that he liked.
