Works okay but good luck interpreting the instructions and setting min & max temps.
June 15th, 2022. (New Version) AMIR Refrigerator Thermometer, Wireless Indoor Outdoor Thermometer, Sensors.I purchased this unit for my aging deep freeze, primarily for its ability to set an upper temperature limit and warn me by a continuous alarm when that temperature is exceeded. Two temperature sensors are provided so I placed the other in my refrigerator. The unit comes with instructions which in themselves are easy to read and follow, however setting the alarm temperatures (minimum and maximum) does not work as one would expect from reading the instructions. They have omitted something. I did manage to set the temperature range but more by luck than understanding the instructions or interpretation. Others have commented on this issue so I am not alone. At one stage I was going to send the item back because I could not set the alarm temperatures and I can understand why others have. The units work okay and the temperature accuracy is not too bad compared to my mercury thermometer. Probably a couple of degrees out which is not critical in my application and have allowed for in the settings..The unit(s) d not come with batteries and the two sensors need lithium batteries if using in a refrigerated environment You will need 4 x AA Lithium batteries which add significantly to the cost. The control unit uses 2 x AAA.Durability will be interesting. I hope they outlive the lithium battery life!

Must have for freezers
I put one remote sensor in the freezer of the basement and the second one in the freezer of the kitchen's refrigerator. Now I can confirm both fridge are at -18 without opening the door. I also bought the Amazon's kit of three small thermometers to put inside the two freezers and one in the fridge. When I open the door of a freezer, these small thermometers, whith needle, confirm the reading of the wireless Amir is good... and the third one confirm the milk is at the ideal temperature also. And, considering the price of the meat, I think the price of all these thermometers is cheap !

I recommend it
I have an overpriced fridge with a lot of electronic crap I really didn’t need. One thing it tells me is what the temperature is set at but doesn’t tell me the actual temperature or warm me when it not cooling properly. After a power surge blew the compressor it was cooling off and on, so I bought this to monitor the internal temperature. Only thing I have against it is you have to look at a specific angle to clearly read it, but was easily fixed by moving it lower on the fridge

Trash Accuracy, Horrible Battery Life
I've been using two of these units for 6 months, however, am left disappointed in this purchase decision.Temperature sensor accuracy: large variance, not good. Our fridge is freezing food while it reads out +5°C, and yet too warm and reading nominal safe temperature for food storage when it isn't.Bought a couple of these so we could more accurately set 2 freezers and a refrigerator temperatures, since they are controlled by dials (and we cannot replace them for better units as renting). Inaccuracy leads to either early spoiled food or freezing. The sensor batteries last a long time, but somehow the LCD control interface doesn't last more than a couple months with good batteries. I have digital weather clocks with outdoor RF transmitters -- somehow those last over a year, yet this thing just fails. Both units and sensors exhibit the same phenomena.

Amazing For The Price And Great Peace Of Mind. Use Lithium Batteries.
I put one sensor in the freezer in the garage and the other one in the freezer in the basement. It's amazing how it transmits through the steel walls of the freezers to my kitchen some distance away. The alarm is set to go off if the temperature exceeds my preset limit. Great peace of mind. Would be nice if the instructions warned that you need LITHIUM batteries in the sensors. Regular batteries freeze and stop working in a few hours. Otherwise GREAT!!!
