It is what it says it is and it does the job it says it will.

I got a tiny bottle of this in a huge bundle of airbrush stuff that came with a compressor I bought about three years ago, but didn’t open it until recently. When I used the airbrush cleaner, it worked perfect for my very first try, though quickly I figured out that I’d definitely need more if I were to start depending on it. So, I bought this new bottle and used it for the first time today. I painted with Vallejo airbrush paint and the matching brand thinner, then cleaned my airbrush using this product. It worked perfectly for the job, and I kept cleaning out the airbrush cup and other weird pieces using rinses of boiling water and then this. This product can’t really be described as anything other than perfect in my experience so far. I used it to clean every single part of my airbrush (that needed cleaning) and as expected, it was squeaky clean at the end of the session. Now that being said, I think it’s an important thing to note that this barely works at all with lacquer paints. The other day I used this to clean out my Mr.Finishing Surfacer lacquer primer, and it hardly did anything. I really didn’t want to use lacquer thinner that day because I had a few cuts on my hand, so in my desperation I turned to mostly using this for the smaller pieces, instead only using the hardware thinner to clean out the cup. Unfortunately, it didn’t do much at all, and I used up almost the entire tiny bottle (not this one, the one I originally got) trying to clean from just one paint session. This wasn’t a surprise at all, and I don’t blame the product for it whatsoever because it was clearly stated everywhere in the description that it’s a water based, non-toxic cleaner to use on acrylics. I just wanted to state here that if you’re looking for an airbrush cleaner to use on lacquer paints such as Mr.Hobby, Gaianotes, or Tamiya, then this is certainly not the product for you. I recommend simply using hardware lacquer thinner to clean lacquer paints, you can find it at Home Depot. It’s incredibly toxic though, so make sure to well ventilate the area you’re working in along with putting on a mask. N95 masks are good, and I also airbrush in an airbrush booth. I’m trying to extend my youth as much as possible despite constantly huffing all sorts of chemicals… Overall, this product is absolutely perfect for acrylic or water based paints. It gets the job done easily and with the much appreciated addition of being non-toxic, you can get it all over your hands. It says not to in the description, so I guess one shouldn’t take my word for it, but really it’s completely fine to splish and splash a little. Unfortunately, that’s where this cleaner’s perfection ends, do not use it with lacquer paints, it will be pretty useless. When cleaning out your airbrush with this fluid, I recommend you use boiling hot water, aka; hot water stored in a thermos and collected with a pipette, to clean out the airbrush cup a few times before getting deep into it with this product so that you can regulate the usage of materials and save as much of the actual airbrush cleaner as possible. I love this and will definitely buy it again!

This stuff works great, helps greatly avoid a deep clean during a project.

Works great. Especially on dried up paint. Will be my go-to on next order.
