How to enjoy your hose
This is a great hose, lightweight, good color and very manageable--after you train it properly. For such a long hose you need to teach it who's boss. Actually that goes for any hose, but one this long really needs it. First attach it to the spigot and put on a nozzle that lets you decide if water flows or not. Next uncoil it to its full length where it can be laid out in the sun, preferably straight as opposed to in a U shape or S shape. This is usually a challenge because the hose wants to remain in its coils. Don't give up. When you're done there will still be some waves where the coils were. Turn on the water at the spigot and if you want to water a little feel free, but basically just let the hose lay in the sun with water in it but not dispensing for a couple of hours. The hose will warm, the water in it will warm and the hose will lay down completely flat with not a ripple anywhere. You are now the master of your hose and can recoil it any way you choose. It will not fight back nor will it be inclined to kink during further uses. The fittings are excellent on this hose and it is a joy to use. The olive color is rather like olive green mud, nicer than in the picture, and shiny. I really wanted a hose at my barn that I could drink out of, but also one that is super lightweight and easy to manage. After the taming trick, this one is. It's certainly not cheap but meets all my needs and is easy to rehang after use.

Amazing product! Outshines all other garden hoses.!!
This garden hose is completely different than anything else I've ever purchased. It's truly does not kink it spins in your hand instead it is lightweight it is slippery and moves on the lawn very easily the connections are engineered to a very high quality not to mention a very nice looking finish. I expect this product the last a long time. No more frustrations with poses that kink won't coil properly are heavy and hard to drag around. Absolutely love this product and recommend it to anyone and have already talked to my friends about it. I have a 100 ft and 50 ft of the 500 lb pressure models. I will definitely be buying more to replace all of my other inferior hoses. Yes they're a bit spendy but I believe worth every penny

Solid, lightweight, quality garden hose that delivers BPA-free water.
2021 Update - 5 years later, this hose is still holding up strong. No leaks. It actually still looks fairly new especially considering we leave it out all year and do not even attempt protect it from the elements. Very happy! Original 2016 Review: What I love: 1) Lightweight, easy to handle. 2) Solid construction - I considered getting one of those expandable hoses and am glad to have chosen this item because it is just way sturdier those type of hoses. 3) Safe, chemical free water - I primarily use hose for our vegetable garden and like the fact that I'm not spraying water laced with nasty chemicals. (walk through the garden hose section of any garden center and you will smell the outgassing) 4) Made in USA. 5) Nice colorful design - not your typical "pasty green" garden hose. What I didn't realize: the outside surface of this hose does not glide over itself making it a little harder to navigate through a garden. A traditional hose has a smooth skin that slides easily over itself and other garden objects (think of a slithering snake). The surface of this hose kind of "clings" to itself (imagine putting a taught thick layer of plastic wrap over this hose). And so it can have a tendency to clink up, however, the lightweight-ness of this hose somewhat makes up for that. This hose is pricey: 2+ times the cost of a traditional garden hose that you can pick up at a garden center. Despite the price, I am very happy with this hose and am very glad that I got it. Only time will tell how long this will last over the years. Overall: If you want a solid-built garden hose that delivers drinking-water safe water, then this hose is for you. I would not get this hose if a) you're looking for a generic garden hose that just delivers water b) you're looking for a super lightweight, disposable expandable hose. In both cases, you can get a better deal for your dollar. Afterthought - I had considered getting the 400 model to save a few bucks as it has a smaller diameter. When this hose arrived, I realized that it was narrower in diameter to the hose that I was previously using. While the water pressure / volume of this hose is fine for my needs, I'm glad to have gotten the 500 as I think the 400 would have been too small.

Best hose I’ve ever had
I have 4 outdoor garden hose stations, and 3 in the stables. The outdoor stations all consist of at least 2 lengths of hose, a couple have 3. I refuse to add up all the money I have spent over the years on heavy, unwieldy, kinking hated hoses. Those collapsible hoses are probably fine for a small garden area or patio plants, but they are not suitable for my needs. I did try one for the wash stall in the barn that may have worked out, but unfortunately, its stretching and shrinking movement was way too snake-like for both me and the horse! Then I discovered the Water Right. It is by far the best hose I have ever had. It is lightweight, easy to maneuver, and when handled correctly, it does not kink. The smaller diameter does not allow a heavy fire hose gush of water, but with the correct nozzle, it does every job I need done and in an acceptable amount of time. I am slowly replacing every one of my hated hoses with Water Rights.

Well made, but some drawbacks are not obvious.
April 2023 I upgraded to four stars-- this product works well in cooler weather. This is a well made and attractive American product, but has some idiosyncrasies that are not immediately apparent. While it is light-weight but still tough with good stainless steel (?) hardware, it tends to stick to itself as well as to un-wetted lawn such that it is actually quite hard to pull into position. Generally harder than a vinyl or rubber hose weighing much more. Also, it is susceptible to knotting because of its small diameter and stickiness to itself. I bought it for using with a hose-end sprayer, but have found that it is NOT easier to pull around than a heavier hose. If one uses it in the morning when the lawn is wet with dew, it slides well. Also, it would probably be a good product if you are pulling it straight out from a mounted hose reel where there is not a lot of maneuvering to do.

BEST, Super Sweet Safe Drinking Water Hose
Water Right 500 Series High Flow Garden Hose, Lead Free & Drinking Water Safe, 100-Foot x 1/2-Inch, Brass Fittings, Eggplant Absolutely love this hose for its durable feel and stays untangled. The color is nice, though I didn't buy it for that. I bought this hose for its claim to be a stellar water drinking hose. Safe for sitting out for gardening, though I buried my hose in 'swimming noodles' underground so that I can run the water in the winter also. I have the hose for my garage and studio so that we can get fresh water for drinking and cleaning herbs, etc. The hose untangled mostly on its own which was cool to observe. The materials are supposed to be completely safe and durable. It really does feel different in your hands than other hoses. I studied this company and its dedication for manufacturing a safe drinking water hose without all the bad chemicals. Even safer by the sounds of it compared to PVC pipe. Looking forward to many years using it. On a plumbing note....... This was cheaper and safer to install than hiring a plumber and all the plumbing supplies. I am a 60 yr old woman and I was able to do everything myself except dig the ditch. Which happened to be done by a backhoe. My ditch was 50 feet long from spigot to garage. I bought the 100 foot hose to use. With a safe drinking water hose splitter on the spigot, I have my water hooked up all the time and I can still use my other garden hose at the same time.

These things last
I bought one of these hoses 7 years ago and still use it every day. Most of its summers have been spent outside in 90+ degree weather. The only thing that has failed on it is that the plastic part near the end, the thing that prevents too much flex on the connection, has broken and no longer stays in place, probably due to user error. The hose is still very flexible, doesn't kink as easily as other hoses, and still doesn't get dirty early. The 500 series are extremely light in comparison to PVC hoses, and I don't see much of a difference in flow, as the diameter is slightly smaller. If you're on the fence, just get one. They perform well, last a long time, look good, and you won't have to worry about the real nasty chemicals.

Works great so far
This review is for the 75 foot, plum color, chrome plated ends. So I finally installed this a couple months ago after a full year of it sitting on my patio. It has no plastic odor, no sticky plasticizer residue. Ends are good quality, real brass, and fully chrome plated. No issues with the plating after using a wrench - no flaking, etc. When brand new, the hose is very sticky from being "clean" and it sticks to itself. That made it difficult to uncoil and it took a bit to get it laid out straight. But after a week of use, it no longer sticks to itself and it pulls freely when it crosses itself, and around corners. I do have a fair amount of exposed dirt, so that probably helps to "dirtify" the outside (not a word, I know). For general garden use, I did not notice any practical difference in flow between this 1/2 inch hose and my previous 5/8 inch hose. A 1/2 inch hose has about 65% the cross sectional area, for reference, so you will generally get less flow. However, other factors matter, such as what type of nozzle you have, and water pressure. This replaced a different style 'premium' lead-free hose which lasted about 5 years. Hopefully this one holds up as well.
