Ok for airport security?

I haven't been through airport security with it, but I know a similar product, the Gerber Shard, is a more lethal looking tool and it's supposed to be okay for airport security.

As a beer bottle opener, can this open a bottle with a single pry? My current one can't and I would like to replace it with something that can.

Single pry, Everytime? No. But once you get used to it you get better with it.

I can't decide on silver or black. How bad does the black flake/scratch off over time with keychain carry use?

My black one does show a little wear from coexisting on the ring with my keys. I don't mind that, but if you think you will then choose stainless.
