This product works great!
This stuff is great. We purchased 6 hens from a local farm to be our urban backyard chickens. One had a large patch of back feathers near her tail missing from an agressive rooster. Once these girls combined in our backyard the other 5 started after her since she was already injured. (I've read they will cannibalize one like this.) She got worse everyday. I researched remedies and bought this. The substance is gooey and smearable so I coat her skin where the missing feathers are. It smells up the coop but has a herbal type smell. Initially, when the other girls pecked her they really disliked this goo on their beaks, wiping them off in the grass. One day later some still chase her but no pecking! The color it makes her skin is a dark purple-gray, making the missing feathers less noticable. I put it on in the morning and before they roost so they don't peck her as they roost. I just feed her mealworms and apply while she eats. Simple. For me, its a great product I would definitely buy again. I purchased a saddle too but so far haven't needed it.

Works well while it lasts, requiring to apply every 2-3 days.
Product works well until it rains and washes off the bird. Messy to apply. I advise wearing gloves because the purple color remailed on my hands for 24+ hours. Need to apply every 2-3 days. No new damage or "head chick in charge" bullying. Product works, but I felt like it was much work for me as well.

it really does work.
Happy to report that where BLU-KOTE failed, Pick No More WORKED! After weeks of one of our ding-dongs pulling her own tail feathers out, drawing blood and then the picking attention of her fellow flock members, no matter how much blu kote we hosed her down with, a mere two applications of Pick No More and her hind quarters are healing, feathers are growing and the horrid taste sensation of the tea tree oil has permanently dissuaded any further mutilation, self inflicted or otherwise.I'm not a big fan of very many roosterbooster products, as I find they are often over priced and under-performing, however Pick no more is an exception to that and a product that I will absolutely keep in the avian first aid kit at all times.

Not sure yet
I used this on 1 hen to start, but it got rubbed of before very long. It goes far so it's a good value. It's a dark color so be careful getting on your clothes. Just in case. Doesn't smell bad. I will keep using it to see if it works better now that I put those aprons on after i applied the liquid. The aprons seem to work for keeping the others from pecking while the feathers grow back and keeps spurs from rubbing it off as well.

Definitely works for me.
First off it's annoyingly stinky. I always wear nitrile gloves.Second, I've seen a complaint like great now my bird pecks itself. And it kinda does sometimes after first putting on but soon figures out it's out.. Also I find them just looking at it, which one could possibly mistake it for pecking. You do need to keep at it. Once or twice a day usually. You slack once and there back at square starting one with bare skin.I suggest using it generously. And pay attention to your birds habits and adjust accordingly. They can give you directions for a good baseline but you need to tailor to your needs. Also like that it's purple. I've read that red skin attracts the attention of birds so this helps to combat that. Also aids in visibly seeing when more needs to be applied.Overall this has been my go to. Not much luck as no pick. I've debated trying Blu-kote which I'll eventually buy and try. Probably would have tried that first just because the ease of Aerosol application but didn't realize it could be used for feather picking. And be realistic there's no single application product for this. So going to take some work and commitment to work.Kind of a long review for suck an item but when you on the fence of what to buy it's nice to have info. So hope it helps someone!I've also come to like alot of the products from this company and keep them on hand.

Exellent it works
The reason I gave it a 5 stars in taste is not because the taste is good lol you don't want it to taste good, you want it to taste bad so the chickens stop pecking and hurting each other and its exactly how it works, I saw 2 or 3 chickens giving it a try from the back of my already hurting chickens and the peckers did not like the flavor at all the started brushing their beaks against the floor to remove it and stopped pecking and hurting my hens :). Not only that but it also colors the skin and feathers purple making it unattractive for the culprits because chickens like pecking on red color and a bloody chicken is not good and becomes a dead chicken sooner or later so use this, it most likely save your hens. I have to apply it once a day with rubber gloves to avoid getting purple fingers, it does not come off washing your hands but if you shower it does comes off.
