Best pushbutton timer switch I found
I noticed that folks who use our powder room tend to leave the fan on when they're finished doing their business. Unacceptable! Seriously, I figured there had to be a solution.First, I went to a big-box store and bought a Lutron timer switch. High-quality and pretty but kind of a pain to use because you have to tap it multiple times and look at the lights to see how long the fan will stay on and guests and workers don't need something that requires training, no matter how simple. So I moved that switch to another potty and ordered this switch from Amazon. It was less expensive than the Lutron and has big buttons for each timer interval. Yay!Installing it was pretty easy since I had already dug out the neutral wire for the Lutron switch. If you're blessed to have a new-enough house (mine is 30 years old), you should find a capped-off bundle of white wires in the back of the outlet box. If you have 12 gauge copper wire like I do, be prepared for a finger and knuckle workout while you try to uncap, and re-cap that bundle; same for the ground wires, which this switch also needs. Make sure you have good-size wire nuts handy as well, as you shouldn't re-use the old ones. This switch comes with stranded wires, including a traveler for 3-way installation that hardly anyone needs. It's nicely capped off and you should leave it that way. When using wire nuts, stick the stranded one in first, all the way, and then stick the solid house wire into the nut and twist tight. If you do a bunch of these, get ready for some hand cramps. So after all that, you can turn on the fan (or any other device) with a single push of a button. A nice bonus is that if you hold any button down for a few seconds, the timer is disabled and the fan will stay on until you turn it off.The other nice thing about this particular switch is that it's easy to press in the dark and feels just like a regular light switch. I even ordered a second one for my other bathroom but can't bring myself to part with the pretty Lutron in bathroom #3.

Works perfectly for the Panasonic Whisper Quiet fan in my bathroom.
I replaced my regular Decora light switch with this timer switch. For various reasons to exhaust odor or humidity after a long, hot shower it made sense for me to add something that we could set to run for a set time after using the room.Things to be aware of: first, you need to connect to the white (commonly) neutral wire so you may have to run one. I had the neutral running through the wall box any way so I just spliced into it. Second, the wires sticking out the back of the switch are thicker gauge than other switches I have encountered so if you are installing this into a shallow box, it may not work. the wires are thicker because this switch is rated for up to a 1 horsepower fan. The ones that I saw at my local hardware stores (Menards or Home Depot) were only rated for up to a 1/6 horse power fan. If you put a higher fan behind a 1/6 hp rated switch, it either runs much slower or not at all completely defeating the purpose.Installation for my instance was easy. I cannot comment on how easy or difficult it was to change the face plates to another color because I needed white which was installed out of the box. I also cannot comment on how this works as a three-way switch only to say that the instructions did have an example where this can be installed in that configuration. Once installed, life was good. I like the little green light at the very bottom of the switch. In the dark, I know my light switches are to either side of this switch. You hear a reassuring solid "click" when turning this on or off. This was a part of a complete bathroom renovation. It didn't make sense to update everything and then cheap out on this feature.I have not been disappointed in this at all. It wasn't cheap but then again this does exactly what I need it to do.

Timer switch is great for a bath fan
Great switch. I have it on my bathroom fan to control the fan only (light is on its own switch). Its been on for about a month and works great. Its nice to be able to keep the fan on for 10-15 minutes after you get out of the shower without worrying about going back and turning it off.Install was pretty straightforward, if you know how to wire a switch. NOTE that you need to have a neutral wire at the switch for the timer to work. It also has a wire to run a 3-way switch, which I didn't use. (who uses 3-way switches on a fan???? Maybe if you had this on a light?)Anyway, make sure you have a decent amount of room in your switch box. This thing is kinda big (about the size of a GFCI outlet, maybe a bit bigger).(and I don't know why the one guy gave it a 3-star because he later found a 60 minute timer... I think an hour for a bath fan is too long... this one is perfect. And even if he likes another option better, it doesn't mean that this switch is bad...)UPDATE - switch is still working great after several months - I noticed in the manual that you can reprogram these switches... if you decide that you wanted to have a 60 minute timer you can go through a sequence of buttons to change it. You would have to relabel the buttons, but this is an option for those that change their mind and wish they had a 60 minute timer and then rate this switch real low.

Works great
Purchased to replace same switch for the bathroom fan that was installed over 10 years ago. Old switch still functioned, but was making a buzzing sound when used.

Timer Replacement
We had this exact timer which needed replacing after 5 years because of a faulty relay, which made it sound like the bathroom fan was a tractor motor. It seemed to be a common complaint with the older models. After we read that the issue had been addressed by the company, we purchased the latest model because we really like the design. So far so good.

Great timer switch
We have 4 of these timer switches. One is in our powder room, the other is for our mud-room fan vent, the other is for our garage exhaust vent and the last is for our rear outside porch light. They all work perfectly and are nice and quiet with a barely audible 'click' as you press the button. Recommend for sure!

Great timer for bathroom fan
These are the actual models you can buy in Lowe's, Home Depot but at a better price. No problems (unless the box you are putting these into is too small as they are a fairly large size. But work as expected.
