Cotton is microwave safe. I think the real question is why you'd microwave cotton balls in the first place.

It doesn’t say anything on the bag about being biodegradable

Q: where are the cotton balls made?

I can't recall the exact country, I do know it wasn't the USA and it wasn't China. I am thinking it was India but I can't be sure. I will say they were grossly overpriced at the time but I needed them and paid the $5.00. Local I can buy 2 1/2 bags of cotton, and the ones from Canada are superior to any I had from this sale.
