The Complete Worst-Case Scenario series has done it again!
I have been very entertained with this book since I was a child. This book is a very interesting and good read with lots of great situations from everyday life to the extremes. This book is great for emergencies but it's also good for everyday reading. It contains a lot of useful information gathered from other books in the series. Not only will you read about dangerous situations, but you will also be able to read about social situations such as meeting your date's parents. The facts in this book seem very logical. It's not made up and misleading information. The author of this book/series has put a lot of research into situations mentioned in the book(s). This book and its information is not a hard to read book at all. The wording is very simple for you to be able to actually remember some of the steps for situations. Everybody from ages 6 to 150 years of age will enjoy and love this book. For $16 this book is a very good deal. If you look at the other series (there are a lot) and add up the cost for each one, they come out to a ridiculous amount. This book is a combination of all the books except the history edition. It doesn't have everything in it, but it has the BEST of the BEST worst case scenarios. The book is also very well designed. The yellow cover and simple titling really make it attractive. The hard cover also adds to the "wow" factor. It's a great book to show off to your friends/family.For $16, you get an exciting read, amazing information, attractive book, and maybe your life! I recommend this book to anyone! It makes a great gift.

Absolutely hilarious yet strangely educational
While you will (hopefully) not run into any of these problems (hence the title) in your life, this book explains to you how to get out of terrible, life-threatening situations, or simply awkward, embarrassing, or boring ones. Or, it may teach you how to do things that you never knew exactly how to do. It's a little bit of everything, and now it's all compiled in this one comprehensive book that covers a little bit of everything. I just had too many "Worst-Case Scenario" books hanging around. This just sums up all the important parts. While the book is typically hilarious with it's over-the-top severeness and ridiculously funny illustrations, the advice is actually given from experts and is very accurate. If you read this book, pay attention, and actually run into the situation one day? This book could quite possibly save your life. You never know what's going to happen to you out there! This book is fun and educational; definitely a must-read and a good conversation piece as well.

How to deal with just about anything
This is a truly eclectic listing of just about every unforeseen complexity that might rudely introduce itself into your life and concise advice on what to do when it does. Of course some are a lot more likely than others (your car's brakes failing vs. being caught in a giraffe stampede), but that's what makes it fun to read. Just being able to handily recall, perhaps at just the right time, how to fix a tropical fish that's gotten itself stuck in acquarum ornaments. It's that specific It also offers rather quaint hand illustrations in simple pen and ink accompanying meticulous information in simple sentences. All in all, indeed some pretty highend yet old-fashioned advice book for truly random occaisons.

Know your reader - some parts may not be appropriate for young ones
Although the book has loads of useful/interesting/obscure information, some of it may not be appropriate for young boys or girls. The book definitely has helpful information that can be useful to know in certain situations; however, there are other parts of the book that tell how to "pad" (i.e. lie, which is not appropriate for anyone...) about your resume, where to hide bribe money during a riot (e.g. "in your crotch"), and issues regarding sex and reproduction. Although my son enjoyed a lot of the book, I find that some of these issues (e.g. how to deal with "wedding night jitters" and the "birds and the bees speech") are not appropriate for him to read about on his own (yet). Parents, as always, should be involved in what their kids are reading, and this book is no exception. I am writing this to help other parents to be alert to issues raised and covered in this book.

The COMPLETE worst-case scenario Survival Handbook review
I purchased three books as birthday presents for my three grandchildren 14, 16 and 16 years old. The book is really a mini-life lesson on how to survive when you are in a stressful or dangerous situation which is totally out of your experience. The book swings from "how to survive a free-falling elevator accident" to " how to survive an elephant attack". The stories are written to make you think on your feet and react in a way to a successful survival mode. The examples are well written and the reader will chuckle at the experiences outlined in such examples as "how to survive a parachute not opening". The book is an eye opening read for adventurers and couch potatoes introducing survival techniques given under extrodinary circumstances. My teenagers really enjoyed their copy.

Worst-Case Scenerio - you'll waste a few quid!
I thought that this book was quite interesting even if some of the content was very tongue in cheek. The graphics that are used to illustrate some of the scenarios might be good if I could have viewed them in a more readable size. Unfortunately the text used in these illustrations was far too small for me to read so I was left staring at images which I knew should clarify a point made but had no idea what they meant. This is one of those books that you might pick up to fill a few minutes when you have nothing better to do. I have no idea whether the information contained within this book is factually correct and I don't suspect that the authors intended this to be your 'go to' source of information when dealing with some of the obscure situations explained within its pages.I would say that if you approach this publication with no other intention than to while away some time and to wonder at how people could ever get into some of these situations then you won't be disappointed.

Excellent!
If you like the series then this book is a must have! What I like more is the included CD with all the scenarios published before this collection.

Great book, CD even better
This is a great compilation of the best worst-case scenarios of the series, but what makes this such a great book is the CD that comes with it - This CD contains every book from the series in PDF form, so this is the cheapest way to acquire the whole series, if you don't mind reading books on your computer.Highly recommended
