I have numerous damaged jars. I wrote my seller twice and when you do that, it sends a message that Amazon also gets a copy of the correspondence). I never heard back from either one of them. The jars that were damaged had missing chips in the lids, glass fragments and spice remnants / smudges in the bottles as if they had been used before (even though I ordered new jars). The glass fragments and damage was in the bottle and not something that happened in transport from what I can tell. Design flaw on some? It is hard to say.The other jars were fine, and I have used them in my spice cabinet. They are beautiful, sturdy, and add welcome organuzation to my kitchen. I like the splash of color of each bottle. They seem to close tightly. No spice smells have escaped. You need to be careful how you close them to ensure the clasp closes. It is a little flimsy, and I am concerned the clasp might break after continuous use. This is something that will only come to light after the jars have been used a lot.I'm just very disappointed that I wrote the seller twice and they never wrote back.I will write more later if I hear back from the seller in regards to the damaged bottles that I received.

These appealing jars are very economical. One trade-off is that the seals are not completely reliable. Previous reviewers alerted me to a potential issue, so I've partially filled every jar in both of my orders so far, before leaving them upside-down on newspaper.In the first order, one jar was visible malformed so that it would not seal. The rest seemed OK. In the second order, I inadvertently imposed a harsher test, by leaving the jars outside overnight. I believe that not only were the jars upside-down longer; sunlight increased internal pressure by warming the enclosed air. About a third of these jars showed some leakage, although they may still be usable for my purposes. Inconsistently formed wire bails also required some tweaking (and even re-forming with needle nose pliers, in one case). In the first order, bails seemed more robust and consistent, suggesting different sources or changing manufacturing processes.The jars are appealing packaging at a good price, but don't expect 100% yield.Packaging is appealing and bomb-proof: If any jars arrive broken, I don't even want to think about the abuse they got in shipping! However, it looks like a sustainability nightmare, inside the recyclable corrugated cardboard box: multiple layers of plastic foam, with cut-outs to fit the jars. This is on top of shipping from another hemisphere. I'd really like to see recyclable or compostable packaging.

These are great, they are airtight and hold approx 2 oz. Please make sure when you put spice in the jar you tap it to pack the spice and fit more. I purchased the black labels seperately as this comes with paper tags and twine.

I make bath and body products and could not find a jar that didn't leak for the life of me. Came across these on Amazon and thought why not. Switched all my products out as soon as I got the bottles, they look adorable, are true to 4oz size, and they DO NOT LEAK!! Now my products looks more professional and my sales have increased to boot I am now searching for them in larger sizes!

These jars were the perfect size and exactly what I needed to package up my homemade chili oil that I was giving as gifts. Unfortunately, I found out the hard way, that they are not leak proof as described. One of the closed jars got turned upside down and oil went everywhere. What a mess!
