I would not. Pond liners are a different material and won’t disintegrate easily. You should talk to your local gardening supply outlet.

Is this UV resistant?

I am not sure. I purchased it for hurricane relief and sent it directly to a church in the affected area. I did not see the actual product.

Is it 12 feet long by 12 feet wide

I bought the 6' x 8' and these are always "nominal" dimensions, the finished product is smaller by a couple of inches, so the 12' x 12' will be slightly smalled.
