I bought it to do Kintsugi- the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold. It worked well when mixed with the glue I needed did the job. I wasn't ready for how much gold dust gets in the air and on surfaces as this was the first time I'd work with pigment powder. But it was easy to clean up. I wasn't a fan of the gold look as much as I hoped, while it is very gold it's more shimmery and less deep in color. I wanted a solid metallic finish and this is more like super fine glitter. But from a far it looks great and honestly most people wouldn't even notice I am just picky.

This golden mica powder exceeded my hopes for my KINTSUGI project. It mixed well with the two part epoxy I was using (JB Weld-clear), and the iridescence that was achieved gave the best effect I could ever have hope for. At first I did not think I needed such a large quantity of the powder, But now I see where I will have many uses for it in other projects and art.

Use it for resins. It’s a good quality, easy to mix and you can get the colour you want. Big container. A little expensive but worth it
