I picked this up in early 2021 when I was taking my build from an ATX monstrosity of a tower down to a more manageable O11D Mini, which requires either an SFX or SFX-L PSU. These size of power supplies tend to run a bit more expensive than full size PSU's so I knew I'd be spending more for one that could power my build and have room for some upgrades later without worrying about going over the spec. This has absolutely no issues powering a custom loop cooled 5800x, 2080ti Strix OC with plenty of headroom to spare. The 80 Plus Titanium certification is neat, but doesn't speak to the longevity of the PSU, which remains to be seen. I've heard reports of Coil Whine on these units, but haven't experienced it myself. PROS- - Excellent performance in a small package - Runs quietly - I've never heard this thing over the ambient sound my PC makes. - Includes all the cables you'd need in a nice package. - No compatibility issues with my build (AMD/NVIDIA) Cons- - Cables are pretty short, I don't think this will be a problem in a tiny case, but for my build in the O11D Mini I snagged some extensions to take the tension off the cables and give myself some extra cable running ability. - Definitely a bit pricier than the competition. I think the quality here speaks for itself, however.

I needed to build a small custom system that needed to be fairly powerful, small form factor, and super quiet for an animator. That also need to be able to have an bit of a future upgrade path. While this mITX build only needed about 630W SF PSU, purchasing a little more capacity isn't a bad thing. plus it would allow the fan to remain off most of the time except under heavy rendering GPU load, even then it is so quiet. Typically I've used mostly EVGA & Corsair PSU in my most recent custom builds. While the Corsair SFX750, was my initial choice being slightly smaller plus a little more familiar to me. At the time of purchase of the SilverStone SX800-LTI, the Corsair SFX750 was going for $360 here on Amazon by 3rd party sellers, where as the SilverStone SX800-LTI was only $180 direct from Amazon. I had seen some great reviews of the PSU, and knew of the company. I read all of the reviews here on Amazon, and most of the ones that rated somewhat low, and seemed to be related to the cable issues. Yes the modular cables are a little short and a little stiff. However for a windowless version of the Lian Li TU-150A, in brushed alum, they worked perfectly for direct and clean routing. A very nice touch on the SilverStone was it having individual removable/replaceable port covers in each of the modular plug ports on the PSU. The extra wattage power, will allow the user to upgrade to a 3950X or newer and increase nVidia or Radeon GPU in the future if need be. I have no concerns about purchasing the SilverStone SX800-LTI again, for future mITX / mDTX builds with 2x NVME PCI storage and 2 x SATA SSDs, and a top shelf GPU, all in a nice small case. The SilverStone SX800-LTI fit the bill perfectly.

Overall good PSU so far. However, three of the pins on the shorter PCIe 6+2 Cable were bent so badly that I couldn't insert it into my GPU's socket. Could have been a user error, however, I have never personally encountered this before.
