I have just started growing my beard out for the first time and bought this set to go with my beard oil and balm and It truly is a great product.Let me start with the box that it comes in, yes the box. This black box with magnetic closure just shows how much Repsol Care puts into the little things and cares about quality. I would have loved to use this box to carry my brush, comb, oil, and balm but sadly once the brush and comb are in the box there is very little extra room.The drawstring bag feels sturdy enough to last a long time but soft enough that it won't damage your brush and comb. Unlike the box the bag does have some extra room so I am able to fit my brush, comb, oil, and balm in it for a convenient grab and go bag. It's awesome for when I am running late for work or traveling I can just grab it and when I have a moment of free time I have my beard grooming kit ready to go.The comb is hand cut wood, you can definitely see this in the teeth of the comb. Each one is slightly different, it shows the time and attentiveness that goes into each comb and it feels solid in the hand. The only issue I have with the comb is the teeth are a little further apart than I would have preferred but it still works just fine for me and the fact that I get zero static like you would with a plastic comb makes it completely worth it.The brush is a boar hair brush. Now for a first time beard grower that meant very little to me. I could tell from the description that it helped spread the oils evenly through your beard but that was about it. So I will tell you that boars hair is a little stiff. You can run it across your face multiple times and it won't be painful or even redden your skin but it is not some thing that you would want to brush through your beard all day. It definitely does it's job though. It holds the oils really well and distributes them throughout your whole beard giving it a healthy shine.

I don’t have time to write reviews, and yes I enjoy reading others reviews of product to help me with my purchasing decisions. I know, I know get with the program. But I had to make time to review this product. I love it! I have been growing my beard out for a year and it was time to start caring for it better. I went to a mall store for men's grooming which had a boars hair brush for $100 bucks. I thought a brush is a brush and I tried several that looked similar to the Repsol care natural boar bristle brush. They were not impressive at all. I thought they were all the same. My wife got this brush and comb as a gift for me. I was so surprised at the difference this brush makes with my beard. The comb is great too, as it does not tangle the hair and pull it out. The quality is great. For the price of this well packaged kit, you cannot go wrong! after all my research on how to get a great beard, here is what I have found out:1-take care of your beard even if you don’t do any with your hair-it needs the attention.2-Dont wash it with shampoo or soap, it is really bad for the beard-get a beard wash. Only wash it every three days with soap- put a good conditioner on it every day in the shower.3- Pat dry with a towel- comb through- apply beard oil to your beard while it’s still damp. Comb and brush in a downward direction.4- Use a beard balm to smooth out those crazy hairs and have that nice clean look.5- Resist the temptation to trim!!! You will regret it . Let it grow and then when you have some good length let a professional shape it for you.ROCK THE BEARD

This is a great beginners set that should meet all of the preliminary needs for the average beard grower. There are a few minor quality issues that might lead to early retirement of the comb and brush, but at the price that the seller has the product at, you are getting a good deal. It is standard non-scented wood for both the brush and the comb. I have purchased cedar wood combs in the past and wished that these had used it as well. The bristles to the brush are mostly cut the same length. There are a few that got missed and are noticeably sticking out. The comb is of standard quality and the one that I received had a hairline crack in the middle of it. There is a little knot in the wood that probably let to the crack. So far it doesn't show any signs of splitting completely in two, but it is something I would have thought apparent enough to warrant quality control disqualification. Overall, this is a good set to start with and not break the bank for basic facial hair maintenance.04/28/2016 Update: Talked to the seller and they were grateful for the input, as well as alerting them to the quality issues. They happily replaced my current set with a new set without requiring me to send back the set with the quality issues. Great customer service. Updating this post with 5-stars. I purchased this product because I was tired of using the cheap Combs my wife had laying around on my beard and getting in snagged on the sharp edges. First off the comb is of excellent quality and I like it a lot. The only complaint I have with it is that I thought it would work better than it does for my beard length. My beard is around 2 and a half inches long and I feel like it is a little short at the moment for this comb. It works very well around my chin for when I get out of the shower and I'm combing it out to get some of the curl out but for the sides of my beard not so much and of course not at all for the Mustache. The brush is also a decent quality brush and I like it as well. No real complaints with the brush it does what it is supposed to with taming lose hairs and giving your beard some shape. The bag that comes with it is kinda rough feeling but will hold both the comb and brush. The box is made cheaper than I expected and it's kinda aggravating storing them in the box because of the tight fit. You can't just hold open the box while it sits on the counter, because of the light weight and magnets u have to pick it up to open it and the fit of the brush is so tight you have to almost pry it out of the box. Overall I would say this is a good set for someone with a longer beard, say longer than 3 inches but if you beard is shorter I would recommend a different comb although the brush would suit you well.

A good flash purchase, but it is for my partner. Brush soft and comb not marked with logo but that hardly matters. all arrived promptly and will make a good addition to the rest of the beard trimming items i have.
