Beautiful Instrument - sounds pretty good too
This is much prettier than the picture. The wood has a glossy honey stain. Very attractive instrument. Very pleasant to hold. Lighter than a clay ocarina. The sound is similar to the Plastic Night by Noble I learned on. Very mellow lower notes. The higher notes do take a lot of wind and sound a little FFFy. I think this is just how plastic and wooden ocarinas are because of the relative softness compared to ceramic. It does get condensation in the airway but not nearly as bad as a plastic oc. It feels pretty solid and sturdy. You could probably toss it in a bag with your tunic, bottle and boomerang without worry. It comes with a pleather bag which is actually pretty nice and would go a long way to protect it.Overall very satisfactory for $100.

It plays easily and is easy to pick up
This product is made from two thick pieces of Acacia. While this is my first ocarina I've been noodling around on woodwind instruments for many years now. The tone is very pleasant to my ears and I quite appreciate it. For a beginner I assume there are cheaper options out there that perform about as well. If you want a nice wooden ocarina though, here it is.

More beautiful than the photo!
I've been playing this ocarina for a little over a month now. It's gorgeous, with a lovely tone and accurate tuning. The only issue I noticed is that it is prone to condensation buildup in the windway, which causes the high notes to get muddy or squeak (but this is an issue common to wooden and plastic ocarinas, so I don't count it as a major flaw - just something to bear in mind). If you're looking for a wooden ocarina and don't have the cash to shell out the amount other makers charge, then this is a great buy.

Outstanding
This Ocarina is absolutely AMAZING! The craftsmanship, the beauty, the sound, the feel... It all comes together so perfectly. I had high expectations when it was coming in the mail, and upon opening my box and trying out my new Ocarina, it exceeded said expectations by a -long- shot. A huge thanks to Ocarina Wind for making these awesome, unique Ocarinas! I will definitely be sending any friends who find an interest in playing an Ocarina this way. :)

Missing items
This product claims to include a songbook and fingerchart. I did NOT receive either. Sending the whole item back for those two things is too much of a pain and the ocarina is quite nice. If only I had instructions on how to play it.
